The better question is how does someone who treats a vehicle that away manage to pay it off in 3 years. I would have thought the bank wouldve owned it lol.

Drum brakes are more amenable to use as a parking/emergency brake, so that's a good reason to use them back there. Drums are cheaper, and they're good enough to be more than adequate. If you use rear disks, you have to make a drum brake inside the disc rotor for the parking brake.

You've done a truly fantastic job restoring the mechanicals on this truck! No way not to be impressed! My vote, however, is for leaving the body damage as is -- scratches and dents and all -- so everyone can see what was done to it, before, and then be wowed by how you've fixed it up. Trail damage is "beauty marks" -- proves what it's been through. And you don't have to worry about where you take it offroad. It's the mechanicals that count -- and you've done a super job with them. Kudos!

Toyotas idea behind the drum brakes is for off road performance in dusty or dirty conditions and it's not made to tow as much weight. At least they last so long lol.

I'm speachless, your truck has come out so damn good dude. I don't know much about cleaning interiors but I wonder if you could get one of those brushes you add to a drill and maybe use some cleaner to get the skuffs off from the rear door panels and maybe polish in some car wax? Not sure if that wax is needed but maybe a brush to really clean up the doors even further.

Why does taco put drums on the back? They cost less Why might an owner want them? Unless you drive 90mph in reverse drums on the back won't significantly reduce braking while requiring less maintenance, last longer, don't get covered by wet mud and other stuff as easily which helps compliment the disks, smaller circumference, replacement shoes are a little cheaper, etc.

This is such an awesome build! To make 280 to the wheels with those big bf ta's is pretty good given that they only make 270 at the motor stock. Id say with drivetrain and tire loss that's probably up at least 80-100hp from the supercharger. Idk if I'd drop 6k on my taco for those numbers. Same money I'd put a CT supercharger on my c6 corvette instead and keep the reliability in my 3.5 taco. How much of a lift from the hub to the fender did it end up with? I got the same drop bracket lift with fox shocks but only did a 4" instead of the 6"
