Excellent lesson. Further proof that without Mick's riffs and tone, there wouldn't be a Motley Crue.

That's so frickin awesome. I worked with one of the early guitar players of Firehouse. They were called white heat then.

Mike, what's up brother... Been checking out your videos for awhile and was blown away when you bought up Les being a friend of yours and when he lived in Rubideux. I was friends with Pat and Angie... lost contact when they moved and Les moved to Malibu when his dad went ontour..... yeah that was a great time..!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos... now I feel like I'm jamming with an old friend and tell Les I said what's up

Nice job. Mick is the man, so underrated even though he was/is so famous. Just killer riffs and such an amazing sense of melody. This song is super sleazy, I love it...

@@rockingguitarlessons of course! Hey I did have a question though, are you only doing 1 " chop"? I see a lot of tabs that have two A notes, then a chop, then a A note, and then another chops. This is much harder to play and I prefer your sound a lot more. Let me know your thoughts. Again, thanks for covering my favorite Crue song!

Mike, great job as usual! I don't know how you can put out so many videos. I am looking forward to seeing Les on here teaching one of his dad's songs. I recommend "Louder than Hell." Love that song as well as all the rest of Mick's work.

Great execution of one of my favourite, nasty guitar tracks. You pretty much gave me the feeling Mick Mars gives me, when I listen to him. That's a rare feat.

Awesome song!! Great lesson! One of my top 5 fav "Mick riffs". This very song is the absolute single reason I bought a guitar and started my journey of trying to learn to play, some 20 yrs ago. This song brings back a lot of great memories, unfortunately of some very terrible noises that I made my poor amp play. LOLOL Thanks again for another great lesson sir... \m/ \m/

i know this is an odd question. But i trust ur crew knowledge. I just got a recent crue music book and it is all but one song, home sweet home. Tuned down a full step every song. I know as folks age sometimes u tune down mayby as mick ages he tunes down but every thing even the too fast for love era? Was that all tuned down? Just seams odd to me whats ur thoughts.

Mike, awesome lessons! How do you get that sound or tone? I tuned down all strings a whole step, have my EVH 5150 set on red with my Gibson LP and I get it dirty/grungy but nothing like what you have and yours sounds so much like Mick! Any hints to that? I am new to all this, about 8 months in! Is the sound more to do with technique? Thanks!

I recently started to pick up my guitar a couple months ago and all I’ve been doing were finger exercises. Should I choose a song I like now and try to get it down? I just don’t want to practice the same song over and over and get bored.
