Oh my, you are by far the best I've found to teach a Mando lesson. I want to learn this so much...

Why can I not remember a tune I've learned and then other times can't get it out of my head, lol. Is this a common thing? I'm ok when I start hearing someone play the tune and it usually all comes back to me, but.... I get frustrated and feel like I'm losing my mind when it leaves me hanging. 🤣 Any feedback appreciated

Apologies as I am new to mandolin and any guitar-like instruments but when you strum, are you basically just kind of adding sound between notes/chords? Hopefully that makes sense 😬
@MikeHeddingMusic2 жыл бұрын
Yes it's a way to fill up the sound. Strumming is playing multiple notes at once rather than single notes played one at a time like you might play during a solo.

Do you strum on 4 Strings or only in 3 strings (DAE)?
@MikeHeddingMusic4 жыл бұрын
It depends on what chord but a lot of times I will just strum the lower three strings (G, D, A).
