As much as I like his videos, he predicted so many things in this video, that one hit ain't special. Dirk not drafted by Dallas is so unlikely as the Mavs were the only team expecting to receive a good player. Few draft picks later wouldn't have changed their pick as they would have done like everything to trade for him, if someone had picked him before (which is unlikely as no one else had ideas of his talent). Kind of crazy as he had dominated the Nike hoop summit in 1998, but in the draft few months later, Dallas was the only team that was really willing to get him. That is only 1 example. In general, I don't think Kobe on the Bobcats would have transformed the league into something totally different like Jimmy's scenario here. Imagine how many teams had more than 70 wins in his scenario, while in reality only 2 teams in NBA history have done it.

I only have 3 complaints: (1)The regular season records for those teams seem very unrealistic. It’s hard to picture 6-7 teams winning 60+ games (2)Assuming everyone’s career pans out close to reality, it’s hard to picture anyone wanting to form an overpowered superteam (I.e. Paul Pierce signing with the Celtics after already having Paul, Kobe, and Dirk who were all in their better years still). The 4 star idea wouldn’t start until around the time KD signed with the Warriors, so about 2016. (3)I highly doubt that with all the rosters skewed and with neither the Heat nor the Spurs making many drastic moves in this scenario (at least compared to the Celtics, Cavs, Clippers, Rockets, Suns, Nets, etc.), it’s very unlikely that in 2013 they would both make the Finals with the same exact outcome as in real life.

This video had so many mistakes that fly by on screen for a second. For instance, somehow the clippers won 15 games in 2003 and then... they go on a crazy tear and win exactly the same amount of games the following season???? You're telling me that Lebron James plus a perennial all-star in Gilbert Arenas can't win at least 30 games? I mean. Unless GA shot all of his teammates and they were all out for the season. Honestly, this video was big step back from the usual quality of your work. It was like you were scared of doing a long video and rushed it out as fast as possible without taking the time to at least explain some of the changes. The reason your what-if videos were so great was because it felt like well researched content that you backed up with a good pace and tone. Here, you speed past a decade of basketball in 11 minutes. I'm not trying to shit on you. I've enjoyed your past what-if videos. But to be frank, I thought this was just a mess. This video should have been twice as long. I don't know if you think your audience has too limited an attention span for that or if you've lost the passion for doing these types of videos but I think you should trust audience more and that if you've lost the passion to put out something other than quiz and reaction videos, then don't make them. Do what makes you happy, not what you think people expect of you. Because at that point no one is happy with the final result. Anyway, criticism aside I wish you the best man and hope your channel continues to grow.

Have to agree, I felt this was a hit and miss type video. I thoroughly enjoyed Mike's previous videos but half way through this one it just seemed unrealistic and very rushed. It seemed way more of a fantasy scenario then his previous 'What ifs'. Even though they aren't real, his previous ones made sense in how they played out. This one just seemed let's just trade everyone to the Celtics and resign big names without really changing the roster to make cap space etc. Felt this was just an 'If the Celtics were like the Warriors' type video. Like I said I enjoy Mike's videos but you are 100% accurate on your comment. // To add on that why does the 1998 draft order change? He doesn't explain how the Celtics get Dirk except the Kings take Pierce instead of Williams and the Celtics get the 9th pick when they originally had the 10th and picked Pierce, the class should stay the same, it also makes no sense for the Kings to pick up Pierce when they had Stojakovic coming in from overseas and Chris Webber in free agency, not only that Abdul-Rauf left the Kings so they needed a PG, It makes 100% sense why they would pick J.Will over Pierce(I mean they didn't know Pierce was a HOF but no one did anyway). You telling me Billups (11PPG 4AST) had a larger impact then Kobe (15PPG 2AST) in 1997-1998 season. Doesn't make sense for Celtics to have better odds, it's more likely that they improved on there of 36-46 during that season, not lose more games.

If you really look at the MVP race each year, there wasn't any year where Kobe clearly deserved to win it. I still believe that CP3 was robbed by Kobe who only won that year, because he hadn't won before. Kobe was always deserving of being in the running for MVP, but his best seasons occurred when his teams sucked, so it is hard to argue that he deserved to win MVP any of those seasons. The first time Nash won MVP, Kobe didn't even make top ten for MVP voting, and Nash definitely deserved to win his second MVP (the first one is debatable between Nash and Shaq). The year Dirk won MVP is the only year I think Kobe had a real case to win, but he was still only third (which is where he should be imo) and it was mostly between Nash and Dirk (Nash likely would have won if he hadn't won the previous two seasons).

Nope Lebron should have won Nash's second MVP. They just didnt want to give it to Lebron that early. Steve did great, efficient from the line and made all the right plays, second only to shaq on true shooting percentage.. But Lebron was second in scoring total, and on a more efficient clip than, Kobe. 13th in assists like 18th or so in defensive rebounds. Topped the charts in plus/minus. He dragged that sorry team up. Plus the EAST had the defending champs that year. Lakers were meh. Should have been Lebron on Paper and when you consider the intagibles.
