I had a game yesterday and this kid was chirping me the whole game. It was non-league so he was hooking, cross checking, etc. I got a breakaway and he was the only thing between me and the net. I was in the neutral and crossing the blue line. He was on my back pocket and decided to hook me because he knew I would burn him. If he didn’t do that I would have scored. I was pissed and started chirping at him after the whistle. I gave him a warning elbow and for the remainder of that game I let him know that i would be willing to drop the mits if he pulled something stupid again. We came out with the W 5-1. Although he was by far the star player of his team I managed to shut him down on defense and gave him a chirp every time I did. He didn’t score once. In the handshake line I told him “enjoy the loss squidder”. He was pissed and gave me a push so I said screw it and we got into a fight. Refs broke it up and we walked out un-penalized.

Patently unfair! I understand that it's only the two goalies, but there has to be a player wearing the white jersey sticking up for the lone goaltender in a lopsided fight. And somehow, there's already six dudes in the dark jerseys readt to defend their teammate AND a seventh player in the dark jersey jumping on to the ice. Honestly, this SHOULD'VE BEEN a "Slap Shot"-inspired all-out bench clearing brawl.
