** There's been alot questions about how do we hook up a grain bag or unhook a bag or even "can you leave a bag half way through it?" the answer is yes.
** In this video Mike needs to unhook off a durum bag on one side of the farm, move the tractor and bag extractor to the other side of the farm and hook up to a chickpea bag.
** All the while so see the issues that can arise from warmer days with semi trucks and snow. 🙂

Hi Mike. Do you, or have you ever run an Autumn/Fall Deep Ripping Program on any of your ground and if so what results have you had? With the limited rainfall you seem to get during the growing season, it would appear that such a program would aid your land to absorb and hold more winter moisture into the summer growing months, along with the benefit of decompacting the ground and allowing the crop roots to penetrate deeper into the soil and to access the minerals further down in the soil profile. If you haven't tried this before it would be an interesting test to see the benefits by Deep Ripping only half of a field and then comparing the crop yield results at the end of next season to determine the success/failure of said technique.

29:20 DEF is not as bad as its reputation. Here in Europe the technology is referred to as SCR = selective catalytic reduction and DEF is AdBlue. The nice thing about SCR technology is that the engines are set up far more efficient (and even powerful) than the same engine with a diesel particulate filter. Diesel engines with a particulate filter are set up to run with too little oxygen to produce more soot and bigger soot particles. These particles can be caught up by the filter. In exchange for more soot, they produce less nitrogen oxides. However, a diesel engine must get enough air to run properly. Oxygen improves any combustion process. You can confirm that if you have ever used a cutting torch. Once you press the oxygen lever you can start cutting. A lot of the soot is unburnt fuel because there hasn't been enough oxygen for a proper combustion. Diesel engines with DEF/SCR technology are set up to run very oxygen rich. They produce more nitrogen oxides but less soot (since they are meant to filter out the nitrogen oxides). Thanks to their oxygen rich set up and more efficient combustion they run more fuel efficient and put out more power than a comparable diesel engine with a particulate filter.
