I have no complaint about how long the heart rate monitor takes to reveal a BPM. it has nothing to do with the processor speed, it's just measuring more effectively if it takes longer.

In fairness this is a great watch. It looks great and is very fast and powerful with no lag what so ever. It's just a pity wear os is the let down. I sold my Samsung galaxy watch active 2 to get this and I'm glad I did. This not only looks better I think it's faster and smoother. The secondary watch screen is great for saving battery. If this watch had a rotating screen it would be the bees knees. Tic health is pretty good . The watches interaction with your phone is great as well. It's a bit heavy but doesn't feel uncomfortable. The leather, silicone strap is really really nice and comfortable. The best watch strap IV had. IV had a few smart watches. The active 2,the fossil gen 5, apple watch 5, galaxy watch tic watch e2 and a few more. This is easily my favourite. Ok apple watch does more but this looks better. I have the previous version of this same watch since April of 2019. Sad to see they use the same processor because you can definitely feel it is not adequate. Also, my watch battery is not holding its charge after 16 months. I usually put on the watch at about 8:30am, after 12 hours (8:30pm in the evening), the battery will drop to 25%. When it was new, it would have at least 50% of charge remaining. I reported the battery problem with Mobvoi and all they can offer is 25% off the next watch.

I have the original too. At times, it gets so bogged down, all screens turn off and it can be 10-20 seconds to come back. BTW, the "slower processor" is the only one available for Wear OS. The 3100 processor is the same speed but has a co-processor for health monitoring. Wear OS desperately needs a new chip. The GPS is indeed 10% off all the time...under reports distance all the time. On a 10K run that's a whole K off! Finally, the screen needs some work...the top layer is way too reflective and makes the OLED very hard to see, which is also not bright enough. If you turn it up to 3 or 4 brightness, it's good inside but too dim outside. I also have a Galaxy Watch, which is much faster and much brighter...you can set a manual brightness but still have the auto brightness adjust when you go outside. The battery on the two is almost identical but the Galaxy screen is way brighter. The Ticwatch charges much faster though. I still wear both but the disadvantages of the Ticwatch become more apparent in comparison. For the price they charge, they should absolutely have upped storage to 8 GB like Fossil and included the 3100 processor instead of the 2100. No excuse for that...

I got a Ticwatch Pro 2020 a few weeks back and noticed something odd on the screen yesterday. I thought it was a scratch but upon closer inspection it actually appears to be under the glass. Kinda looks like an m with a forward slash; "M/". You can see it better when on the LCD screen but you can see it on both screens if you move the watch and let the sun hit it just right. If you were on the LCD screen it would be just above the furthest right of the 5 bars in the battery indicator. Since I noticed it I've convinced myself that the screen in general hasn't looked as sharp but I'm not sure if this is just me being paranoid or not. Do you have any idea what it could be? Can you see it on your watch too? Far as battery life is concerned, I think it's awful. Keep seeing reviews saying that you can get 5 days with the combined screen mode, but I can barely hit 2 days. I'm a really light user too. Always on screen is off, no continuous heart or sleep monitoring and I haven't been using any if the fitness apps. Also have ok Google detection, location and WiFi off and screen brightness at only 3. I've basically been using it as, well, a watch. I turn the oled on from time to time just to look at the screen and use the stopwatch occasionally but other than that I haven't been using it much so I really can't understand why the battery life is so crap. Their website suggests that you charge to 100% and completely drain to zero 2 or 3 times and that should sort the battery, but I can't even do that as despite being set In the menu to never come on automatically, "essential mode" keeps coming on once it gets to 1% and I don't want to sit around for up to 30 days waiting for the LCD screen to drain that final 1%. Should I be concerned? Honestly starting to wish I had gone with the Galaxy watch instead; especially if I'm not imagining that the screen isn't as sharp as it was initially. I'd be very greatful to hear your thoughts please.

there's a few apps - you can also search by going to the Playstore>Apps>Categories>Wear OS

How did you get the regular clock for the second screen
@MikeOBrienMedia4 жыл бұрын
Just tap and hold the watch face to change it. I chose the TicWatch analog marble one

It's a no for me. I'd rather it be an analog power saver. Also I'm waiting for the google wear os to be updated. I hope the purchase of Fitbit starts to permeate the Wear OS.

Also with the weak internals, it has the smell of "cheap" on it. Seems like they did the bare minimum to get the watch out the door.

I mean, it is a new watch.
@MikeOBrienMedia4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it technically is. And I definitely like wearing it! I wish they took the time to make it perfect because even without the upgrades I was looking for, it still competes with many other smartwatches out there. Especially with that battery life and durability!

@@MikeOBrienMedia I like the look, except for that arrow thingy on the lugs.

I bought the 2019 version and is rubbish. I took it apart as it stopped working completely. I was shocked at how basic the internal components are. Not at all premium in my view. I'll never buy one of these again. I have a 120 year old watch that cost about the same and guess what, it still works.

I got the same watch, the software sucks and is very unstable. Poor quality, would not recommend to buy this, a waste of money, u would only get frustration.

But the essential mode is so damn ugly. I wish it worked on ATT. I would totally get it if it did.

I am really hoping Google gives WearOS some attention this year!

@@MikeOBrienMedia I hope so too. Or I hope that WearOS dies so Samsung Tizen can become even better. (More app support, etc.)

Yes. I'll go back to WearOs when they finally have 5 days battery. Currently using Huawei Watch GT2

GoudenDynamietHD I’m on the other side of the fence. My experience with Tizen is frustration after coming from Wear OS.

I wish Samsung watches would allow me to replace bixby with Google assistant. Wear os is so behind the times. I want a smart watch but nothing makes me want to spend my money

Dont trust these reviews too much, i bought my previous version Ticwatch Pro based on these reviews as they all praised it, but none of them mentioned that the watch becomes laggy quite soon, and in reality... it bacomes unusable after just a few days.... as every time i started to to do anything on the watch i always had to wait 5 sec fot it to react, is really annoying, a restart helped a bit but not for too long and you can not keep restarting your watch 5-10 times a day. I did factory reset as well many times but it remained way too laggy and unusable.
@randyb35764 жыл бұрын
That’s weird as my experience was just the opposite. Restarting watch that many times? I love mine with AOD and over 2 days battery. That’s incredible.
