1. It is surprisingly accurate! In fact it showed me that the Magicwatch overcounts the steps by around 15% - I used both Mi Band and a Garmin Vivoactive to make sure values are correct. 2. also good. It showed well the deviation during sports - so I think it is trustworthy 3. Not in the TicSports app - but there are third party apps that might have badminton.

Great review Michael. I have a fossil gen4 explorist and amazfit stratos. I use them both, but slightly prefer the stratos for its battery life with full feature always on display, and sleep tracking. Amazfit just updated the phone app too, much better user interface now. But still there are often times I really miss not being able to respond to text messages. Doesn't seem like the 2020 ticwatch pro meets my needs either. So I am still waiting for the perfect smart watch... Full-feature always ON display, sleep tracking, 5-6 day battery life, BT notifier+responder. It just doesn't exist, in either apple or Android ecosystems. Still though I am content with my two watches.

Phenomenal device and great review, Micheal! This is the future that came to us now! I do not think that any smartwatches without google map, google pay, google keep have any value! Does this device have a google keep version? I personally prefer right-angle displays but functionality of this device is excellent! Why do you think that Tizen OS better?

Hope that you and family and friends are alright! And yes - it supports google Keep too! As for TizenOS - I don't know... Yes - it is more polished, and the Galaxy Active has better battery life. But the Ticwatch Pro 2020 was the first WearOS device I actually liked...

The Amazfit Stratos 3 is good about tracking sports and has Soccer modes.

You can use it without a phone, but you need such for the initial setup and overall - it is kind of tough to use it that independently.

Can you install standalone Android apps (not Wear Os) from Google Play. F.e. Shazam, Viber, Dropbox, Chess, etc.? If so, does the 400*400 pixel screen fits those apps, so we can use them as on Android phone.

yes, there are some apps which can be installed. Not sure if you can have Dropbox and Viber - they should have a WearOS version.

@@TechMishkaactually 400*400 pixel screen can handle those applications, but wear Os (or Tizen, o LiteOS) simply won't allow you to install them. Those apps can only be installed on Android based watches, like Nougat. I think it's because of a possible negative affect on vision in a long term.

Hi. Great video, thank you! I just purchased one of these, my first smart watch, a few weeks back, and was wondering if you could answer a couple of queries? I've been trying to decide on a watch face, so installed a few apps, mostly though I've been looking on Facer. I'm having a problem though in that any Facer faces that I install and try don't seem to work with the step counter or HR sensor. They just don't seem to show heart rate or step info, with the numbers on the face showing as 0. For that reason I keep going back to one of the few preinstalled faces that came with the watch as heart rate and steps work fine on those ones. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Could you also please tell me how to track my sleep?

SOmetimes the third-party apps need access so that they show such data. For sleep tracking - I remember there was one of these apps shown in the second half of the video.

I've had mine for about 4 days so my opinion is based on my limited experience. That said, I love the hardware but hate the software. This watch would be a 10 out of 10 if it were on tizen. On the crappy Android watch system, not so much. That might be based on the fact that I had a Gear watch 4 about six months. I am trying to give it a fair chance but gear OS is just not up to the challenge. Please, please, please, please work something out with Samsung to allow use of their operating system

Dont trust these reviews too much, i bought my previous version Ticwatch Pro based on these reviews as they all praised it, but none of them mentioned that the watch becomes laggy quite soon, and in reality... it bacomes unusable after just a few days.... as every time i started to to do anything on the watch i always had to wait 5 sec fot it to react, is really annoying, a restart helped a bit but not for too long and you can not keep restarting your watch 5-10 times a day. I did factory reset as well many times but it remained way too laggy and unusable.

Attila - very much agree with your statement. I claimed the same in my video of the Ticwatch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4qTn6SAlquJoc0 Truth is that it's not the watch - it's the combination between the resource-hungry OS and the so outdated chipset. The 1GB edition is way better, I think you may like it. Ticwatch have very liberal return policy - in case you don't like it.
