I'm always surprised by the lack of understanding about skin color and the creative ideas & misconceptions about "turning white." Thanks for sharing a teachable moment & not becoming upset or offended. People come in various shades of brown. We will not become white over time by changing locations. It is genetically impossible unless there is a medical condition. Contrary to common belief, I can't speak for others, but I have no desire to be white. I'm comfortable in my own skin. I dont believe having lighter or darker skin makes anyone better or worse. We are all unique individuals and should be respected and treated as such.

Well said I started to respond in a way that would not have been as nice as you stated. Don’t understand how they ask the questions that they ask. Do they not have access to the world and know that there are people that come in al shades and colors besides white?

There are nice and nasty people in every country/ community. The real deal is that most locals will appreciate and like you if you have made the efforts to learn the local language. I see from your videos the love you get and most of the locals think your language knowledge is better than what you think it is.

Thanks for sharing information on your time in China. Keep the blog going, and we can check on your progress, understanding of them, and their understanding of you. Thank you. I prefer a Villa because it resembles my life in Europe and North America.

Thanks for this vlog! Ah ah! Always be careful when you speak your own language, thinking that you can't be understood by foreigners...🤪 I experienced this in England, as a student... Being in a group speaking in French in a park and hearing all sorts of insults and inappropriate comments (there were 4 of us girls)... The embarrassed surprise when we replied in English!..! Bah! There will always be ignorant people, disrespectful towards others. That's how this world goes! ...Fortunately, MOST OF the locals are not all like them and want to interact in a pleasant way.

Living in a foreign country one just need to grow thick skin to move on. I lived overseas and heard people making racial comments about me in their own language, gossip or other kinds of unsavory opinions etc etc. My neighbor was being disrespectful and ended up assaulting me with sucker punch. Not worth it at all. Just know that your wife loves you, your child loves you, and China and their locals will get used to your presence. When they know your Chinese is good they will keep quiet. The world is getting smaller, everybody is moving around the globe to start a new life, so be grateful of the opportunity and avoid conflicts. China has a long way to go from homogenous culture, like many Asian countries. Xenophobia happens everywhere.

I don't know if they truly believe that or if they wanted to ask that to be funny and get a reaction, but the way you handled it was really cool, calm, and collected. I hope they learned something and hopefully don't say that to another black/ African person.

After listening to what you said concerning your wife/girlfriend, its apparent to me that's a blogger, you struggle to make enough money to fully support your wife/girlfriend accordingto Chinese customs. I know it's not easy for a foreigner to find work in China, and now you have a baby with her. You need to do the right thing by her and her family. If you want the milk, you need to buy the cow.

"Pakistan urgently needs to control its population growth as it directly impacts the country's future. With a rapidly increasing number of people, the availability of resources, jobs, and opportunities continues to shrink. This uncontrolled growth is not just about numbers; it translates into bringing more humans into a world of limited prospects and widespread misery. A growing population without proper planning only amplifies poverty, unemployment, and societal issues. It's high time for Pakistan to focus on sustainable development and population control measures to secure a better future for the coming generations."

you say its not a big deal but making someone your wife implies a significant level of dedication, not that having a baby or being girlfriend and boyfriend doesnt, but i think taking that big steps shows how serious you are about her. being a black man the last thing you want to do is confirm the bias and have a child out of wedlock and end up divorced or separated. take the step, be a man and marry the girl you claim you love.

If they say ' what is this black guy doing here' it could have a less sinister connotation. It could mean, is he doing a documentary on China for his country? I could also mean, what was the draw that brought this African man here? My answer would be that I live here with my Chinese wife. I love China! I brought a Chinese man to tears when I replied this way (thru my translator wife). The Chinese people are particularly kind and curious. Having said this, are there people who are distrustful of foreigners and also black people. Probably. But I would just smile and assume the best. Good luck!

Hahaha, I was asked a similar question, multiple times in South Korea, usually by children and the elderly: "How did your skin become so white?" Hahaha~! I always smiled....It wasn't a process...I was just born this way...in fact, White people are kind of awesome, because we can turn other colors: "Redneck", "green with envy", "pale as a ghost", and "lovely tan", "dark-hearted", and "blue blooded"...hahahaha. Ultimately, Sir, I understand your plight....I lived a good long time in South Korea and Japan and, despite whatever level of language proficiency I got to, I had to accept that I will always be considered a foreigner, despite working for their government and being recognized as a citizen.
