Terry, I remember being out at the island during 4th phase, didn’t class up with 189. Seems like I was in 4th phase forever, got multiple stress fractures before class up. Glad they got rid of that long pre-training but, little too late for me. A lot of regrets but, congrats to you buddy. Sounds like you had an awesome career wish I could’ve taken advantage of that timeframe. I know it doesn’t matter now but, at the time I wish I would’ve classed up with 188. I’ll never forget learning about the Extortion 17 incident from my mom while I was on my second tour with 1/6 Marines. We had just finished a rip with 1/2 or 1/8 guys in Trek Nawa (Southern Helmand) and it was all over the news in the States. She thought it might be related to us, but I cleared that up for her. It was as much of a gut punch for us as it was for Team and DEVGRU guys. Coincidentally a lot of the guys are buried adjacent to one of my brothers at Arlington. I give them a visit and pay my respects every February, while attending the memorial of my boy. 🇺🇸

I understand your comment, LOL! I retired SFOD-D and it's a shame that the average American citizen is unaware of things that they should be aware of when it comes to engagement of an 'enemy'. There are so many puppet strings being pulled from the highest levels of power in our world. And if one gets pulled up high enough up the pyramid, one sees the face of the enemy standing next to our leaders in the same room. The actual people that run the world and make all of its decisions have no borders or flags. it's the true definition of 'The Art of War' the biggest threat that these powerful people face, it's not terrorism or nuclear war but the general public finding out that the same hand influences both 'sides'. It was discovered centuries ago, average people will die for a cause with a common 'enemy'. I spent many years in my craft, been to many places along the way, seen horrible things and beautiful people but nothing more heinous than the slimy SOJ clergy and bankers. I've said enough....
