Ironically the people who snitched on him only did so after 6 months when they knew he was deploying with them again and in a leadership position and made requests to have him pulled, when they had no leverage they made leverage. How does a guy with integrity his whole career do a complete 180 in front of civilians, his platoon and Police forces in the day and age of rising social media platforms, I call bullshit on the people who clicked together to bash his name and strip his chances at a silver star, especially when a OIC told these people examples of ways to get rid of EG. Mike Ritland, brother I’ve been doing criminal interviews my entire career and did a stint in new hire interviews and after all the damn classes I’ve done and great interviewers I’ve had as role models I’ve got to say you’re a natural and great interviewer. You keep the flow perfect and let your interviewee talk. You get the info and keep it moving. I usually can’t watch long form interviews so easily but this one went by in a breeze. After hearing all the media talk of Chief Gallagher it’s really amazing to have the opportunity to hear the facts and get to know the guy in such a believable no bullshit platform. Thanks for doing these videos, much appreciated from the civilian side! After watching this interview I find myself completely convinced Chief Gallagher is a great American, a patriot, and one hell of a military man. I’ll also ad, I’ve been through hundreds of hours of deception detection training from both federal and local law enforcement training sources. I’ve conducted over a thousand interviews/interrogations and put that training to use and while I’m not the expert be all or guru of deception detection I would definitely say I’m above average experienced and trained on bullshit filtering. I did not for one second see anything or hear anything to think Chief Gallagher was anything but completely honest with you. In fact I would even use parts of this interview to show text book behavior in an interviewee telling the truth. Blown away by the quality of this interview, and my heart hurts for Chief Gallagher and what he went through. Thank you both for being who you are and giving us civilians access to this material.

During my 23 year career in the Army, I witnessed numerous application of UCMJ to maintain good order and discipline. However, nothing amounted to the injustice you describe. I understand not many will read this.. I believe what eddie has said about the prosecution and his command not having his back. I went through a situation that ended my career where nobody in my command asked for my side of the story. The prosecution led with lies and B.S. I took a deal that gave me $12,000 and an honorable and left the military feeling betrayed and disgusted. So if u doubt that side of Eddie's story. Know he isnt alone. Something needs to change.. I served 7 years and left feeling abandoned by the squadron I called my family and my home. I still have not recovered from the pain.

I started following Andrea soon after he was arrested. At first I was just supporting a Warrior’s wife, thinking there was probably some truth to what was said. The longer I followed her, the more I realized how jacked up this was and that Eddie was innocent. Andrea did that, she’s a beast and is someone I strive to be like. So sorry this happened to this family, but so thankful it didn’t end like we were afraid it would end in the beginning. It’s really important too, how they’ve stood on their faith through this. They’ve led by example through things that would have torn most people apart. God did that.

The SEALs at the rank and file level didn't. It was the toxic and morally bankrupt leadership at the commissioned/command and senior enlisted level, both at NSWG1 and NSWC. They knew that Eddie's accusers were full of shit as did NCIS. To acknowledge the misconduct of the accusers would've been to acknowledge their own failure, so they kept their course, regardless of how wrong it was.

I want to know how he feels about the military now? I know everybody says, "You signed the contract!", however, that doesn't mean they have the right to railroad the hell out of you if they wish. This country is damn lucky they have anybody that wants to serve. I spent eight years fighting for my VA disability. I served four years in the Corps and six in the Army and after ten years they would not let me reenlist. I was raising my son by myself after having nine operations so I had no choice but to fight the bastards.

As an ex Naval Officer - a plain old Surface Warfare Officer so not a SEAL - it disgusts me that the Officer Corps (Headshed) did not try to ascertain what the truth was when those dirt bags brought those allegations, but instead completely abdicated their responsibility to try and find out if there was anything to what those guys were alleging - it is truly beyond belief. And to make matters worse a few in the command structure pushed what became increasingly obvious a false and incomplete narrative when they had zero clue as to what really happened. I'm sorry you (and especially your family) had to go through such a FUBAR evolution Chief and I hope that those who did not do their job (and those who blatantly did things that are completely unacceptable and illegal) are held to account. It speaks volumes about your character to hear how introspective you've been about what you went through. I wish you and your family all the best. And Mike - another great interview!

Happy for the outcome but very sad that this happened, and very sad that so far it seems most of the culprits have not been held accountable. Thank you for doing this podcast as you are doing a service to the nation by informing those that are too lazy to dive into the details of the court proceedings (not sure if that's possible due to being a military court, which also implies that I'm lazy) of the horrible lies that were peddled. I did three deployments on ship. Never once do I remember the CO or my Chief or any other leadership person worry about morale. It's always mission focused regardless of branch. The morale comes when you complete your mission. I guess these guys needed a trophy.
