I’m in the same boat as you. I fully agree with everything you said. He was really just kinda toying with Jones Jr. I just turned 40 and boxed a bit in the army and have just started training again for some possible amateur fights. Iron Mike scares me to death. Paul… not at all. Lousy footwork. Rely’s too much on the straight right. Also he doesn’t know how to fight inside. Tyson might be one of the best inside fighters I’ve ever seen. His hooks are legendary.

I don't understand why they would want to do an EEG. I've worked as an EEG tech in a hospital and now as an MSN RN. While an EKG might be somewhat relevant to assess potential arrhythmias, an EEG seems nonsensical in this context. Generally, EEGs are used as a complementary diagnostic tool for conditions like seizures or brain damage. In cases of recent head injury, they can show severity and healing progress. However, I can't imagine a situation where a pre-fight EEG would determine if someone is fit to compete. It seems more likely that they want the visual of wires for a sense of 'official' evaluation, but ultimately it's a pointless procedure.

Yeah, this has to be a typo. Even a pre-fight EKG doesn’t make that much sense. If the fighter’s hearts are a concern, presumably the concern is Tyson’s heart given his age. They should do a stress test like, right now, during training camp. Get Tyson’s heart rate up to max and see if there are any arrhythmias. Doing it pre-fight while fighters are cool isn’t going to do anything. Tyson could still keel over and die in the ring but pass the pre-fight EKG. It makes sense to do it now so that they don’t lose money promoting the fight only to cancel it at the last minute for a test that could have been done right now. EEG i can’t think of any reason at all unless the expectation that one of them is going to die in the ring lol. “Confirmed, the fighter laying in the ring has no brain activity, we probably should have done CPR instead of doing this EEG, also…this fight was a terrible idea” lol.

I think you're spot in, if the fight drags past 5 rounds Paul has a good chance of gassing out Tyson. However, the skill difference is immense. If Tyson can catch him in in some 3-5 combinations and land a strong cross it's going to hurt Paul a lot. 16oz gloves deaden impact but the force applied is still there, if Tyson can get some rotations on the head of Paul he'll drop, and Paul isn't known for really strong defense. I hope they actually go for it, it will be a really interesting fight to watch if so.

I don't think he seems slow and sluggish. But of course, this should all be treated with caution. I don't really understand all this EEG and EKG nonsense anyway. 3 rounds of light sparring one or two days before the show fight, that would be more meaningful. I also do medical reaction tests and stress ECGs...
