Yeah I used to think that as well. I always rooted for my team to win, believed that there could be carryover year to year (look how wrong I turned out to be on that 😂). Hell I remember Mike’s channel back in the Eli years when he was advocating for tanking, I was probably leaving comments about how I believed Eli could still get it done lol. Last year I was sort of indifferent, knew it was probably best for them to lose but wasn’t necessarily rooting for it. This year I was outwardly rooting for them to lose for the first time in my 21 years as a fan.

I’m 100% with you - another good argument to Banks would have been the crazy turnover the Giants have due to the poor drafting. Culture is a long term matter but if you cant bring in and retain good talent, why care about a win more or less to build culture.

I can understand the frustration. At the same time I can’t get upset over the fact that if the Giants still had the #1 pick, they would be forced into drafting a QB who may or may not be good. Lately, I am noticing two extremes among the giant fans. Those that are dismissive over the importance of a QB. And those who are so desperate that they will literally take anyone.

Exactly, you tank by not playing players. One of the 3 win teams will win their last game, want to bet which team it will be? Howie must shake his head asking how stupid can a team be. What is even more depressing is the Giants schedule next year. It is brutal. Philly, Washington, Detroit, Minnesota, Green Bay, Kansas City, Denver, San Diego and add Dallas with Dak back. We are going to have another brutal year recordwise, Don't be trading the 2026 picks, they are going to be high.

Enough! You want to fix the Giants, right? RULE #1 Control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. This is a foundational principle. Drew Lock's performance was not an aberration, but the product of good protection and the residue of a good week in practice. Lock is a hoopster and played QB like a point guard. He kept the offense on time and in rhythm. Players feed off that. 1. The Smart Move would be to draft DT MASON GRAHAM with our first round pick. He's a one man wrecking crew that's NFL ready. Pair him with Dex. Our run defense won't fall apart when Dex needs a breather and our pass rush will wreak havoc and create turnovers. 2. Via draft and FA - bolster O-Line with mix of experienced linemen and quality guards/centers for development. We need depth. 3. Ditto LB & Secondary - mix FA and quality draft prospects. The above recommendations will take two years. There's no quick fix. 4. This illustration may help you understand better - the reason Bo Nix is succeeding (the #12 overall pick) and Caleb Williams (#1 overall pick) is not, is not based on talent, but on the quality of the O-Line, which allows for the great things Nix and the Broncos do or, conversely, the struggles that Williams and the Bears continue to suffer - a 10-game losing streak and counting. By the way, Justin Fields and Caleb Williams are a combined 17 - 42 since 2021. First round QB draft selections. 5. Sign Drew Lock to a reasonable 3-year contract with incentives. At worst, you have a quality back-up who understands the offense and can perform with reasonable protection. You add stability. At best, the NFL can add to its growing list of experienced QBs that found a situation in which they can thrive in a starting role. 6. During the interim, find the right draft eligible QB for development and get him, even if it costs assets. At least you'll be doing so from a position of strength and not weakness and desperation. 7. Stop whining, get your hands dirty and suck it up - be about the business of creating a strong Football TEAM.

Riddle me this? Is it possible the @Giants never planned to get a QB this year? Because they are not interested in any of the QB’s in this draft…. Is it possible they were going to Colorado to scout Hunter instead on the sneak????? They can get him at 4. Listen at some point all of these videos now after their win are ridiculous. The Giants were bad week one. You all were on the Jones bandwagon as you all thought he was the answer. So how about this, next time, call for the heads of the brass in the beginning. Jones was a bad pick, day one. Firing the coach that picked jones was bad, without allowing the new coach to pick another QB, was bad. Forcing Dabol to coach a QB thst he obvioulsy had no conficence in. Constanly going back to that “playoff” win without tsalking about the complete massacre in the very next game by the Eagles is a joke. Schoen chose to not extend Jones’ fifth year option. Forcing him to bid against himself. On that alone Schoen should be gone. I said, when Jomes was drafted it would be 2026 until the Giants were relavant again. New coach, new QB. Looks like i am right on the money. I never liked the Jones pick. I will leave you with this, 2018 they picked Barkley, their 2nd and 3rd round picks were not good picks. But there was a QB that another team traded picks for to comeback into the first round to get a QB, The Ravens, you cannot tell me that the Giants could not have done the same thing, we would have had Barkely, Jackson and Odell on the same team. So once you all realize the Giants brass are looking for a particular QB, you will stop talking about Ward and Sanders.
