Being English and living my entire life in London, I didn't know who Eben was when I first started watching the show, but now I've become a fan of his calm style of interviewing. He kept every episode ticking over, allowing Mike to drift off, then re-enter the conversation with something interesting or hilarious. That chemistry was why I watched the podcast. Bad move, whoever chose to replace Eben.

7:15 or before about Bill's rant. What I think about his problem is that he's afraid of his own reputation. As he said, he built his fame through being that angry guy being angry about the small problems in life which we can all relate to. He's that relatable friend who makes everything funny. So when things actually start to piss him off and he genuinely feels frustrated and angry, there's no one to turn to for sympathy and that's because they might just take it as just another one of his jokes. That's gotta be a lonely feeling man. He looks like he's moved on from that though. Kudos to him for that Just trying something fun and exercising my brain here lmao

Not saying Eben was the perfect public speaker, but what Eben brought was a great sense of vulnerability, humanness, and maybe even sincerity (some might mistake as naivety) that was refreshing to watch and more personal. It personalized everything, and made things feel more intimate/ deep/ bringing even a bit of a spiritual nature into the discussion (too easy to write him off as just another stoner "dude") He was the bridge that everyday people could relate to being that he wasn't a SUPER celeb. Now you have just another fluffy celebrity interviewing situation. I love Tyson, but come on ya'llll. Stop trying to make things "BETTER," and do what WORKS. Hard to believe that Tyson has no say in this, BUT who really knows what goes on behind the scenes..?
