I'm enjoying the Common Man's Torah ! How unnatural, how trusting, that Joseph didn't try to negotiate in exchange for the dream interpretation. And as you pointed out, didn't put himself forward for the role he'd defined. Amazing.

the two sticks, what an awesome portion to add to that. first as the lamb for Israels lost children, Ben Joseph, spring feasts. fall feasts for Judah. Isaiah 11 echoes brother Judah joining back in.

Yes! The House of Joseph must emerge and stand on our own two feet. We must stop trying to be Judah. Isaiah 11:13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
