Hey I liked the insight into 'unbelief' underpinning the ways of Jacob & Esau. Must say, I've never enjoyed reading Toldot, with the manipulation & despising of birthright. Fresh perspective, thanks Eric.

I’ve always struggled with it too. Lots to mine from that portion. I think I see myself and Jacob when I am at my worst. Praise the Lord for his mercy.

great message. id like to touch somewhat on your illustration of the two sticks, two houses. ive always seen that as a picture in an eschatological sense as a two fold messianic ministry fulfillment of the week of daniel, in which He came first as the lamb to the lost of Isreal and returns 2nd as the lion of judah , somewhat illustrated is Messiah Ben Joseph then Messiah Ben David. (not two messiahs but one coming twice.)

@@TrueRootsMinistries a deeper dive changes the worldview on dan 9 itself. messianic. almost sounds preterist which i dont agree with . but in short a confirmed covenant assumes an existing covenant, and Messiah did do away with the need for sacrifice. He was cut off for all those promised to Abraham and not for Himself. In that we see Him in John 17 speaking of it. also Malachi ch2 the Levites were told they would be desolate, Yeshua declared the temple in desolation as well. and a zoomed out view those currently of Judah are desolate without a sacrifice since they deny Messiah? ....Praise Yah brother Judah will return to the household Isaiah 11 is a witness to that, for one witness...
