Love this track..Thanks for uploading (haven't seen that photo of Mikey& Paul before) There is some doubt if the Clash actually played on this..there's no mention of them on the label..he certainly produced & mixed down.. The stuff they did with Mikey was great- Bankrobber & even more Dread on 'Rockers Galore' /robber dub , he was support on 16tons tour early '80 with just a beatbox & some 'musical toys' + contributed much to Sandinista!( an lp that seems to finally be getting recognition it deserves)

the clash &Joe strummer man i can,t found the words to show how thankfull i am.In 76 punk exploited,i was bored 14yrs old kid,suddenly ithere was a future for me and so many other forgotten kids with parents without a job,etc.Punk showed me to explore other cultures,music,etc,when the clash gave me my first introduction to reggae,well it ,s still a fantastic journey,reggae -the only music with so many diffirent musicstyles,dub,dancehall,jungle,drum&bass,roots etc everyday there ,s something new.Beside that i think that history of punk&reggae must be told at school,no better insight view that we can live together without racism etc,i,m white but black inside(certainly on the dancefloor!)and i love black people,s background&culture&music&history&food&literature&etc,it,s a fantastic thing to learn a little about those people,for more then 100yrs some people(mostly white people,shame on them)try to enslave ,use,destroy,etc this bravely,proud,beautifull people,from jamaica to congo,from marocco to USA etc,i hope the day is gonna come that martin luther king got his smile back on his face,his dream is a dream for millions around this world,and what,s now happening in America,i don,t understand how this is still happening in 2020!,wanting to write ,phone,or something like this to a black father,mother,son,daughter,etc,it,s sound stupid i know,but i,m just a simple 57yrs old welder ,don,t know much but i,m sure about 1thing,we,re all the same,and when judgement day comes who,s gonna be strong &without any fear to look Him in the eyes.But enough blabla put mickey,s champions bubbler on the turntable,shake that bambam&have a f...cking great coronadubpumping bass time!!

He got a lotta rubbish thrown at him on stage at Lancaster 16 tonne tour,Joe,the Man n threatened to cancel the gig unless the crowd got their shyte together,luckily they did & the rest is His'Story :)
