Come off a screen work on the handles downhill finish strong. Split a high double finish strong. Split help side at the rim finish strong. Pick n roll lobs / pocket pass. Mid post 1v1. Bump & shoot off the dribble. Live 1s against trainer (work on your game). Here’s the most important thing to know. These kids aren’t even close to graduating and playing college / pro yet so they will be primary ball handlers / scorers for at least another 2 years. Constant contact / doubles coming their way and the stronger you finish now the better. Mikey’s left hand & handle have gotten so much better in the past couple weeks. Jurian’s ball handling insane jump. When they hit their senior year to prepare for the next level we will absolutely incorporate more PNR defensive reads (Ice, Jam, Hedge etc.) Offensive actions (Zipper, Split, Squeeze, Horns, Pin downs etc). I only made it to Junior College but I’ve played against some of the best over the years, the number one thing I wish I’d work on the most is defense and my mid range jumper!!!!! That mid range jumper can get you to the next level!!!!!! All the greatest players had wet mid range jumpers from Jordan Kobe Allen Iverson Magic Bird all of them made there names because they scored the most points with a wet mid range shot!!!!!!! Mikey needs to work exclusively on his mid range shot at ever point on the court and his lock down defense!!!!!! He might make it to the NBA if he does!!!!!!! Felipe Lopez Sebastian Telfair God Shammgod Gerald Green all had crazy one dimensional talents but if they would have worked on there mid range and defense they’d probably would have made it in the NBA for years!!!!!!!

Rakim Marsh I don’t know if you’ve played high-level competitive basketball but the level of talent that get to go D1 is small every player on a D1 team was a mister basketball in his state and school the bench warmer in the NBA can destroy lower level guys all day!!!!!!! I played two years at CC and tried the walk on route at UAB but competition level in my state and the players where truly next level you gotta be a baller to go D1!!!!!!!!

These boys are incredible players! And right now Mikey needs to continue to dominate high school basketball because he’s a freshman. His handles have gotten so much better and he’s in incredible shape which a lot of other players are not right now. When he gets to be a senior we will gladly work on his ability to play the PNR against Ice, Hedge, Blitz, Jam defense to run a pistol, floppy, split, Squeeze etc. but he’s not running off pin downs to catch and shoot next year. He’s going to run the ball, handle it and finish aggressively. Draw a lot of contact and hit shots but thank you for your comment
