Dear Mikey and RJ, I am so gratefull that you both, and Byron, were not at the hotel, and that your parents were not there yet either! Blessings are all around, and this is a huge one! To have this happen is horrible, and all I can think off is sending you 3 a lot of love and strength to process it all. My thoughts go out to the people who lost someone in that fire. To end the year with this ... not easy, this will never be a time to see as happiness alone ever again. Extra harsh since the whole world is celebrating and to know that there are lots of people grieving as well, to see it so up and close, so personal. I lost my grandmother december 30 2001, and my grandfather on the other side on januari 1 1992, so I know the pain of the loss gets less sharp, just never lost completly. The celebrating of the new year will be possible again, but it takes time. I wish those who lost someone that time. And that is why I am extra gratefull that you 3 "escaped" that fire and can bask in the warmth of your families at new years. Blessings to you all, and lots of love send from Frisia. Even though you do not want to carry your phone especially when you are not filming, this is the importance of having your phone with you. Carrying your phone is not only for entertainment and filming, but for safety reasons, keep your phone on you always especially when you are away from home and always keep a phone bank on you that way you are never caught in a situation that when you are in need. God forbid that this will happen again, but next time, please, please, please keep your phone with you and have a backup battery. This could have prevented unnecessary worry for the people trying to reach you. God Bless you all.

I watch all youe vlogs, but I don't comment much. I am glad you all are OK and that you were not at the hotel at the time, it sounds so scary. Maybe you should have your phone with you at all times, just in case of unknown situations like this come up. My thoughts go out to those affected by the fire, I can't imagine how bad it would be to lose someone you know to a fire. What a way to end the year. Stay safe guys!

Thailand and Thai people are so amazing it really is one of my favourite places on earth, and I could happily live there (having never made it to the Philippines) as I love the food and people so much. Gosh so much going on in Bangkok. 3 foreigners died in that fire and 10 people hospitalized. Also the South Korean airplane that killed all aboard but 2 people flew from Bangkok a couple of days ago. Such tragedy. Thankfully you are all safe, grateful. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your vacation! Prayers for the Thai and South Korean people.

You guys got lucky there. 3 Korean tourists being investigated. Dead are Brazilian woman, Ukrainian man and American man. Injured is a Brazilian man, companion of the woman, he jumped from the 3rd floor. Others injured are 3 Japanese and a Thai hotel worker.

I'm so glad you all are okay! There's been a lot of tragedies here at the end of the year for some reason. Praying for a better 2025. 15 years ago I lost a home to a fire. We also were out eating at the time. But I know that smell. To this day if I get even a tiny bit of smoke smell in the air I freak out trying to find where it is. Between that and then losing the next home to a massive flood. I had decided not to own another home. So 10 years ago I rented a condo. This past summer the owner came to me and said they wanted to sell and give me the first option. I really didn't want to move. I was so stressed for months about it and what to do. But finally on October 31st I signed papers for it. Luckily I had been saving and was able to do it. But a lot of that was for a splurge trip to South Korea this year. I still may be able to do it. I hope so. Oh....... and I thought that I may retire after this school year and do something else. Now I don't know. But I promised not to think about it too much until mid-January.
