Scoot/scooting is to move quickly! Scoot in slang means Dollar. I’m from the uk and I used scoot to the kids when I wanted them out of the way. Thankyou for this tutorial, it’s nice to learn something new!!

I am a newbie (less than a year) and this was a great tutorial on the whip stitch. You take your time and have great explanations along the way and your hack saved me as I had two granny squares a bit longer than the other. Worked like a charm. Love this type of joining but do not like the knot at the beginning. Can that be placed on the back or made less obivious? Even in the same color you could feel that lump, couldn't it?
