Why The Crochet Crowd Doesn't Have Yarn Line?

I have a unique perspective on why we don't need a yarn line. I will share why we don't and why I don't make self-branded products.

Yarns for the mystery box were yarns I would use myself. Yarnspirations asked me what brands I would love to see as a clearance. That's how The Crochet Crowd Mystery Boxes came to be but we don't receive commissions for the sales for those. People score a deal on products I love but aren't my own brand.

I'm just so grateful for all you do already for us, Mikey. Would I buy your yarn forever if you had a line? YOU BETCHA! But I think the example you are setting for all of us is far more important. to me it lends to your credibility that you dont have your own yarn line. you see vanna's yarn line. likes thats the only celeb yarn ive ever seen and its soooo... random. i would never think of the wheel of fortune lady knitting and ive never seen press about it for it. its so ... absurdist. quite frankly. you are so valuable with highly reliable tutorials. you are a household name in the youtube yarncraft world. like a pioneer. like a teacher and its amazing

Mikey, You are a great crocheter who loves helping others also love crochet. You are very transparent when talking about different products, but you let us decide what works best for each of us. You treat your audience with respect. I really do not care what your lifestyle is, or whether or not you want your own brand products etc. You interact with us one on one, never pushing an agenda or making us uncomfortable with pushing any particular views on us - you simply crochet. I love that your determining factor is “will this make me happier?”. If more people stopped and asked themselves to honestly answer that question, how much less consumer debt and waste would be eliminated? Perhaps it’s a Bluenoser thing - I was brought up with pretty much the same values - but being happy and living simpler, or more practically, is a key to my own sense of contentment. I give away a lot of the stuff I make. I made a hexi Cardigan it was too small for the person it was intended for as I thought I had enough as the yarn was on clearance is what it is. I had enough for a 2x 3x not 5x women/men's I finished it and gave it my client and she loved it

You make great points ! With other yarnies who go that route.....it can feel like a cash grab after a while. That is a turn off for me. TY for not going in that direction. I would much rather see and buy a book of patterns or a logo T-shirt. There is already so much yarn out there and besides, who can compete with Vanna and Vanna's Choice LOL !
