I struggled with a foundation chain. This was the best tutorial that I found. I wish I had seen this a few months ago. You may want to think of doing a quick, single tutorial on doing a foundation stitch.

Sorry, the pattern is only written for one size. I don't have any stitch counts to change the size specifically. The multiple of the foundation chain is in sets of 7 though. So you could do the 7s and extend it longer but I don't know an exact number to tell you.
