I guess I'm kind of off topic but do anyone know a good site to stream newly released movies online?

Another outstanding lesson by GM Smirnov!...i found plenty lessons on the internet and youtube who try to explain senter strategy...but the more they talk the more it becomes unclear!...not GM Smirnov, he presents the material exactly in the way that Einstein mentioned "If you cannot explain something to your grandmother in the simplest understandable terms....it means you don't really understand it yourself"...GM Smirnov is doing an excellent job!, big thumbs up to him from me!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

This lesson is simply great... 1-focus in the center :control the central squares & occupy them..!! 2-keep the tension

Very delightful just simply to watch the lesson, no matter if you want to improve or not. Smirnov is a great player and coacher. :)

Keep the tension could also mean that taking material changes the position drastically and/or movement not involving taking material introduces new tactical/strategic ideas. Sometimes the best thing to do is not to react but just sit there and wait. All this is also good business advice rather than letting others manipulate you into doing bad things and being reactive. First think about short term and long term implications.

i had a doubt GM Smirnov when black's knight was a5 then couldn't u sacrifice your knight for the d5 pawn to not let black control and occupy the central squares + the bishop attacks the knight on a5 which is mostly trapped ,so white can actually win!

Great video as always.

At 17:09 can white play the tactical move Nd5? I guess black just plays centrally minus the pawn

What do we though do when there's lot of tention in the center? Because then, the structure can always change drastically at any moment. For example, Ruy Lopez: Bryer variation.. the main line.. After the Qc7 from black, there's lot of tention in the center and what squares should both sides focus on? And also, should we release the tention or not?
@GMIgorSmirnov8 жыл бұрын
Hi Igor says that you should not break the tension in the center unless it is favorable to you. Maintaining the tension is difficult due to tactical complexity so most amateurs like to release the tension. Since GM Igor has a busy schedule he can't answer about the specific question in bryer variation. Prasaadh | Support

18:00 What about forking Bishop and Rook with a Knight on B3 ?
@eswarrao6886 жыл бұрын
Rook moves to b1, then if knight takes bishop then queen takes knight and black looses a developed knight for a stuck bishop
