hi ms. miko! i was in your master class yesterday. I decided to watch some of your videos. I cant believe that at the age of 14 you were this good! I hope that once Im 14 I'll be as good as you. I hope to take one of your classes again someday :))

Hi Miko, I don’t know if you remember me but I met you at your meet and greet in Bangkok, Thailand in 2016. I was the girl who secretly asked one of the Sonata staffs to get you to sign my leather ballet flats. I still have them to this day and it would literally mean the world to me if you reply 🥺 You are such an inspiration, I’ve been watching you since I was 8 years old and I’m now 14 ❤️

She is not doing ballet anymore. Just in her free time sometimes. She went to university instead.

Very beautiful! Practice routine looks basic but it’s the foundation which enable a wonderful performance on the stage.

Don't compare yourself, or ever put yourself down. As perfect as she was, she admitted to having low self esteem, hating her body and she QUIT Ballet, because of it.

Almost everything was perfect! The only things I would fix is in the attitude pirouette, don’t hop at the end. A less noticeable way if ur loading balance in a turn is just lower your heel. It looks so much cleaner then hopping the last part. It also looks like your forcing ur turn out a little bit. If u watch her plié’s, then you can see her body is a little bit behind her knees, if she had perfect turn out, they would be lined up with her knees. The last thing is, (idk if this is how you were taught or if it’s just the style of ballet she’s doing) but try not to lift ur hip up in ur battement.

who has tips for keeping turn-out when going up on releve? at 0:10 theres a demonstration of what im trying to get at, but my turn-out on releve is always terrible :((

bh6sic it may sound annoying, but practice. Spend ten minutes everyday, just practicing. Releves while brushing your teeth, releves anywhere really. Work on calf strength, and turn out of course. I hope this helps :)
