Honestly it's not like making a humidifier that doesn't need to be manually filled is impossible. You could theoretically just do a reverse air conditioner. You pull in air from outside and super cool it. The humidity from the outside air condenses, and then you expel the cold air back outside. You can then use the water in the tank to humidify the inside. It's basically a reverse of portable air conditioners. My AC pulls in air from my room and cools it which generates condensation and fills the tank. It then expels the cold air into my room and expels the warm air and the water in the tank out the window via a tube. The problem with this strategy however is that it would be ridiculously energy inefficient for a mere humidifier. You'd also need to deal with expelling the cold air and the hot air, having a third stream of room temperature air to carry the moisture. It would also probably be quite large and if it's anything like any AC I've owned, probably quite loud. I suppose it depends on how often the tank needs to be filled though and how quickly it would fill using the outside air. Maybe the condensation part would be rather quick and the full tank would last a long time.

Sharp should gift Miko something because I’ve recently thought about buying a humidifier and instantly thought of Miko.

After their tweet talking about how they were going to try and develop a Humidifier that didn't need water, I started having faith in them, making a elite humidifier for our baby shrine maiden.
