Really good, thorough review man. Thanks. This is probably the most common sense in depth one I have seen.

Thanks for the review! I’ve been looking at the mikolo k6 and Major lutie plm 03. I just love the idea of a power rack with cable machine/ fly options.

Hi there we just purchased a used m4 and it was having the same cable scratching issue, so we tried to figure out what it was, it ended up being the part with cable wheels connecting to the shinny metal was on wrong side they need to be placed on the out side of the machine not in the inside. If you flip it to the outside it will stop scratching it worked for us.

I watched another review where the front polished upright posts were bending from weight and causing the adjustable pulley slides to not be able to adjust all the way up or down properly due to the bend and require some force to move them up and down. Have you come across this?

I saw that same video and was wondering that as well. The guy could no longer slide the cable system up or down and was returning the whole item.

For example in my room where I have this Mikolo machine with the space I have is actually an advantage and a positive to have the weight plates stacked they way they are. Since I have a tight space and a wall mirror would be impossible to have the plates stacked in the back of this Smith machines it wouldn't work and would be so uncomfortable and dangerous to pick those plates from the rear instead of the sides which I have more space for. So for me is not a downfall but an advantage. I can always remove the larger plates when I'm exercising so they don't hit.

So it wasn't made for bumper plates. Small plates usually go on the top storage. Those bumpers are all the size of a 45. Good to know

I got the m3 for my son. Took a week to get delivered but fed Ex lost the floor mats and we are still waiting for them before we set it up.

I have the M3 myself and getting ready to put it to work today. A great build and took me 3 days to get it built all by myself.

Do you feel the Mikolo M4 is safe for someone lifting under 500lbs and not planning on doing any large drops or explosive movements with the weights? Would the external safety catches hold if you slowly lowered a 300 or 400lb squat or bench press onto it and then dropped it just the last couple inches to then get out if you fail the last rep?

Great question, seems completely abled to be answer by anyone easily, safely, accurately, and subjectively.

Put the cables at the very top when you bench on the outside of the rack then the cabke wont be in the way

I, too, have an Advenor bench. It's holding up pretty well after two years of use. How is yours doing? How long have you had it?

Thanks for sharing. Why did you swap out the K3 with this unit? Did you find any issues with the K3?

Take the J hooks off when you use the cables. And face the other way in the Smith machine.

Horrible customer service!! No phone support!! Got the k6 power rack and it had no hardware. Had to go buy all the nuts, bolts, washers. Which was a pain. Multiple size bolts. Save your money buy elsewhere.
