I had a free tier account and couldn’t upload custom image, it asked to upgrade. Switched to aws and got it loaded within minutes as they already have CHR image in the library

Not so easy any more with OCI in all regions. But I could manage this 2 months ago in Chicago with higher specs then advertised for Europe. In Frankfurt I could not install arm, but intel and AMD worked. Many people are easily getting free tier hosts in Spain Region I heard.

@@Johann75 OCI “always free” is for specific resources, I had 3 instances running without any issues. AWS EC2 free tier seems to work fine for CHR, free so far, the only reason to go cloud was to run Wireguard server and The Dude, as none of my on premises routers have enough resources, RB1100AHx4 is an option if CHR start costing enough to justify purchase.

I saw in other video that you're allowed to created a bucket and upload a object for free only during the trial period. I guess you can do it afterwards, but it's gonna gonna be charged.
