I have a sample and really agree about the longevity. I had a hard time really washing it off the next day. As for the scent, my wife and I both enjoyed it from arms length, but we weren't the biggest fans when putting our noses right on it. The spicy or smoky effect is just too much for my nose to truly enjoy.

The scent's description sounds a lot like marriage ... long, harsh, loud, linear.... LOL Living at the other end of the world, a lot of times we do not even get to hear about these unique fragrances. Thanks for the insightful video.

Steven, is real Vanilla actually sweet? Most frags use synthetic vanilla which has this sweet ice-creamish smell (Rose d'Arabie is the first one that comes to mind).

Ahhh, yes. A lot of fragrances use vanillin. I think the labdanum is stronger than the vanilla in this scent. The fragrance smells natural, but I can't tell what kind of vanilla is used. sorry. =/

You probably know this already so I'm just throwing out it as a suggestion. The guys who upload the shaving videos experience the same thing. When you review fragrances that most people have never head of, the total views will be a fraction of what they are for the more popular brands that everyone can easily purchase around the internet town. That's because the casual user will only be searching for those scents. The only reason I clicked on this was to see if I could catch a batch code, even though I doubt the checking sites would have this house. I grew up in the 1960's and '70's, so the '80's and '90's are a special period for me. That's when men's fragrances really took off, and the reformulations that are around today pale in comparison. Whether that's because of cheaper ingredients or current FDA regulations banning older ingredients is up for debate. I'd really like to see you review Azzaro Pour Homme or Lagerfeld Photo and compare the vintage juice vs. today's versions. There are dozens if not hundreds of older men's fragrances you can try. The problem is getting representative bottles of even the new stuff.
