I'd think about investing on this if the round brush rotated automatically, both ways, by pressing a button, as so many cheaper ones do. That's a must if you need an efficient, quick and non-tiring (I need to be able to later use my hand at work!) morning routine, which I do.

@alymary56613 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! This is my concern as well I would use only the smoothing brush, not interested in the other attachments. I want straight hair, quick dry and nice, shining hair. My hair is medium, fine and frizzy if I dry it with a normal hair dryer so it needs styling, not to look like a crazy person. I was researching dyson airsonic hair dryer for the fast drying and controller airflow, but I am not good with the round brush and the hairdryer. Then saw the airwrap..but more expensive than an already expensive supersonic dryer and with a lot of accessories I will not use. What to chose now out of the two..of course I cannot afford both...why they don’t release an airwrap with only two accessories, cheaper or a brush attachment for the hairdryer..offf

@@aps2985...... Make sure your ROOTS are 100 percent DRY before you use the curling wands, otherwise the damp roots will drop your curls. Blast the ROOTS ONLY with the dryer until really dry, avoiding the hair ends (tricky). Make sure the lengths of your hair are really damp, hot dry each curl THOROUGHLY, then do the cold shot for at least 10 seconds. Switch off and gently let the curl unravel off the wand. Keep a fine mist water spray to hand to spray hair length ONLY, avoiding your dry roots. Hair shaft has to be really damp.....but you have to make sure each section IS COMPLETELY DRY before you cold shot and unravel the curl. Only finger rake the curls.....wait until they are COLD, not even warm, before you finger rake. Hope this helps. Teddy UK xx

I'm really struggling deciding between the Dyson hairdryer & the Dyson airwrap. Do you ever use the hair dryer attachment on the airwrap? Is it just as good as the original hairdryer? It would make a great comparison video because I can't find anyone that's done it! I want the airwrap for the smoothing brush but have little interest in the other attachments, so it feels kinda silly to get it BUT if I could replace my regular hairdryer and my Revlon brush then I'd like that. I'm definitely in the market for one of the Dyson products!
@armaninimerawi42475 жыл бұрын
JJ Babbles Hey I’m not Milabu but I can tell you my own experience. The pre-dryer on the air wrap is definitely not as powerful as the Dyson hairdryer. But, having said that, it’s still more powerful that my previous GHD dryer. I only use my air wrap now. I have thick, course hair - it’s in a lob but even so it usually takes quite a bit to get my hair dry. With the air wrap I use the pre styler to semi-dry it and then I use the soft-soothing brush to do the rest. So it doesn’t really need to be as powerful as the supersonic. And I don’t even look at my revlon now! The Dyson brushes get so much closer to scalp to dry. But I agree with Milabu that you really need to want all the pieces to justify the cost. I bought mine on QVC and pay in rates so it’s been more doable that way! Hope that helps!
@JJBabbles5 жыл бұрын
@@armaninimerawi4247 TYSM for your reply! I only just saw it, so sorry for slow response. Very useful to know that the airwrap dryer isn't as powerful as the supersonic. I do really want the brushes that come with the airwrap (so I can replace my hairdryer And Revlon & have less styling tools! On my desk!) but I have no interest in using the curling barrels.. So I'm still divided over which to get AND I discovered the airwrap comes in different versions depending on hair type which is yet another choice!! (I have thin, fine hair but it's naturally very curly & frizzy, so I seem to fall under both categories from the options they give. Arrr) Tbh I rarely use my regular hairdryer rn - I airdry for a bit & then use the Revlon (the revlon kinda replaced my hairdryer) Maybe I've answered my own question there - I don't even use the hairdryer I own because I just want to get stuff done with one styling tool. Hmm! Thanks again for your help!
@alymary56613 жыл бұрын
I have the same debate as you had. I was interested in the hairdryer and then thought of the airwrap with the smoothing brush as it seems more efortless, but cannot justify paying more for accessories i will not use (like the curls barrels), i want straight non frizzy hair (my hair has no curls but a lot of frizz when drying with a regular hairdryer, applying treatments, oils, etc, still the styling can tame my hair). What did you decide an bought in the end? Can you share your experience after 1 year? Thank you

Aparna Singh Thisbis a long but thorough response. Sadly, I no longer have the Dyson air wrap. I bought 2 within a 4 week time period from the Sephora sale and both had a short in the plug. I believe the short was caused by inferior wires stressed by the weight of the transformer. I returned them but will repurchase after the company addresses the issues. I loved the volume, which lasted for a couple days, especially when humidity was low. Idk how much this matters, but I Alternate shampoos -using either L’Oreal ever pure sulfate free volume shampoo and conditioner, Pureology Hydrate or Olaplex number four and five shampoo and conditioner. Because I get blonde highlights, I sometimes use Matrix total results so silver shampoo to neutralize the yellow. After shampoo/conditioner, I use Lanza healing volume root effects (on top roots where I want lift) and just a pea size amount of Lanza color care trauma treatment on ends as a heat shield. If I want more volume I will either use Kendra thickening mousse or Aveda volumizing tonic but not a lot of either product to keep hair from being weighed down. I take my time with the Airwrap. I use clips to section hair in 1.5” increments starting at the bottom and with mostly damp hair-not wet. This gives me the most volume. If the top starts to dry, I lightly spritz it. Once hair is wrapped around the wand, I count to 30 slowly and make sure to give every curl a good 20 second cool shot. For me, it was important to make time for those curls. Taking my time really helped my curl last. My family was amazed at the volume and I really miss it. Even when curls subsided, my hair appeared thicker. Also-to achieve volume on top, I wrapped hair horizontally instead of vertically as I do with my the sides of my hair. I hope all this helps! Have fun!

Elizabeth Johnson I use mousse unless I’m just using the smoothing brushes.

I love love love my airwrap but need some advice. I have collarbone length, thick curly hair so the firm attachment brush is a life saver. The ends of my hair have been flipping up no matter what. I think my hair isn’t gripping on the brush and when I pull it off each strand, the air is blowing it up. I don’t know, it’s super confusing. Maybe I just need a trim to help fix it? What do you think?

While the ends are wrapped around the brush switch it off, hold it for a few seconds then pull it off.

I would buy that airwrap only if they sold it alone, without the other atachments. The complete pack is too expensive, Dyson should sell it alone, at a lower price.

Valeria Which attachment would it come with then?

Sadly you cannot buy the AirWrap solo without the attachments. We offer the additional tools , because we believe it is better to offer a full set that is able to get everything done.

It's the actual dryer that's so expensive. The attachments aren't the priciest part.

Melanie Wilson thanks for the tip. I had the same problem. I’ll try making it dry with the pre styler first.

Isn't the dyson smoothing brush less damaging than the revlon because the revol has the heated metal base (like Dyson's round brush) but the smoothing brush by dyson seems less hot as it's airflow vs heated metal drying your hair. What heat settings did you use with the Dyson smoothing brush?

I think the airwrap its nicer cause its doesnt damage and burn the hair as one step so even its expensive but healthier
