Thanks for your video, this was exactly what I was looking for. I land at 9am via Delta and have to catch an EasyJet flight at 11am. If I have a US passport but have 1 checked bag, in your opinion would this be enough time? Also, by any chance did you happen to notice the EasyJet bag drop? I saw that this may potentially help speed up the check in process of my next flight. The 11am flight is really my only good option so I don't really have much of a choice but to risk it

If my final destination is Milan, instead to pass directly to Exit (turn to the right), I should turn into Luggage claim? Thanks, very useful video!

Why you can not go through the transfer area to the departure area? Do you have to have an airport transit visa to pass the customs to the boarding gate.
@hilifetravel8764 Жыл бұрын
Well first of all thank you for watching my video and for your question. To answer your question you can go through transfer area to the departure gates but no the departure area of the airport. There is no customs at the transfer area only the security check when you pass through the transfer area. Also you don’t need a transit visa to go through the transfer area to the departure gates. In my case I two separate tickets from two different airlines because I was traveling to another country thats why I went through the immigration and customs to go the departure lounge to get my self checked in with the other airlines. I hope that helps you understand the process. Once again thank you for watching my video. Please consider subscribing my channel for more updates and more informative videos. Thanks

@@hilifetravel8764 Thank you very much for your quick reply and information. I will be connecting to the US via Milan on July 17th and I have a valid visa for the US. Like you, I have two tickets, one international arrival in Milan and one departure from Milan to New York. I don't have an airport transfer visa and I'm worried that I will be stopped by customs at the Milan transfer and not allowed to go to the departure gate for my next flight. I have a 5 hour connecting flight and no checked baggage. I have watched your video many times and it has given me a lot of information, but I am still not sure if I can go directly from the transfer area to the departure gate without going through customs in my case. I looked at the airline website and it is possible to check-in through the website and get a boarding pass in advance up to 48 hours before the flight, so would I have to go through customs to re-chenkin? I'm just worried that customs won't let me travel to the next gate without a visa.

@@hilifetravel8764 I bought tickets from 2 different airlines like you, so it's not a connecting flight. If I get an e-boarding pass ahead of time for the second leg of my trip, which is the one for the flight from Milan to New York, do you think I can just go through the TRANSFER AREA to the departure gate?
@hilifetravel8764 Жыл бұрын
@@qiuyingchen3850 if you are checking your bags all the way to the US then you don’t have to but your bags are checked in only up to Milan then you have to go through immigration and customs and re check your bags and get another bag tag and the boarding pass.
@qiuyingchen3850 Жыл бұрын
@@hilifetravel8764 I don't have checked baggage, only hand luggage. I would like to reconfirm that if I obtain my boarding pass in advance, then I don't have to go through immigration and customs and go directly to the departure gate through the TRANSFER AREA, correct? Thank you very much for your information and patience.

Do you think 1 hour 15 minutes would be okay for a change over? I have a uk passport and have to check in again, same situation as you because it’s a different airline.
@u.217511 ай бұрын
It’s my first time travelling alone, will it be just immigration then go a level up check in and security again and then get to my flight
@hilifetravel876411 ай бұрын
@@u.2175 I think it won’t be enough because you have to go through immigration and then recheck your bags amd get a boarding pass and then go through the passport control and the security screening all over again. If didn’t have to recheck your bags and didn’t have to go through the passport control and security screening then 1 hour and 15 minutes were enough time to go through the immigration and customs. I hope that, I answered your question. Thank you for watching my video. @@hilifetravel8764 I won’t be taking any luggage only carry on and my boarding pass should be issued online because I’ve done an online check in

Did you end up having enough time with the 1 hour 15 minute change over?
@hilifetravel87649 ай бұрын
@@campcindy98 actually it was just enough since I used the automated immigration system if I had to wait for the immigration officer to process my passport then I would have missed my flight. Hello sir ,do they ask for transit visa?
@hilifetravel87648 ай бұрын
No. They didn’t ask me for any transit visa. Where are you traveling from. I was traveling from the United States. I had to go outside because, I had two different tickets with two different airlines if I had one single ticket with with two airlines on the same ticket then I didn’t have to go through the immigration and customs. All I had to do is to follow thr connecting flights or international transfer and go to the transit lounge. Bit sonce I bought two separate tickets, I had to collect my luggage and then recheck myself with Turkish airlines in the departure lounge at Milan airport that’s why I had to go through the immigration and customs. I hope this helps you understand the process little bit better. Thank you so much for watching my video. Please don’t forget to like and subscribe if I was any help to you. Very helpful video. I'll be heading to MXP next week. It seems that after arriving (lower level), I'll need to go up one level to access taxi or bus service. Is that correct? I've been to MXP before, but someone was always there to pick me up. Not this time. I'm just trying to figure out how to navigate. Many thanks.

Thank you so much for watching my video and for compliment. In my video I was catching another flight to Istanbul so that’s why I had to go upstairs to the departure lounge to catch my flight. For you to take a taxi you need to go out of the arrival lounge after customs and then follow the signs for the taxi. You don’t need to go upstairs just follow the signs. Once again thank you for watching my video. Please consider subscribing my channel for more updates and more informative videos. Thanks

Thanks for the video! I am also planning to book separate round trip tickets through Milan to the US from Indonesia. Was 2 hours enough time to clear immigration, customs and get checked into your second flight?
@hilifetravel8764 Жыл бұрын
If you are holding a US, Canadian or any European Union passport then two hours are okay but if you are any other passport then you don’t have enough time to check in for your second flight and go through the passport control and security checkpoints again.
