This is more disappointing than banter era. After the scudetto we were like ok, what is the next step? We have to progress and move forward and get to the next level. But instead the management has kept the team completely stagnated and there's zero progress. Our opponemt Inter has gotten progressively better and we are stuck in the same place. This is shameful and I really don't want to bother watching this season.

You know Milan is in shambles when Martino is cussing freely during a podcast

Maldini is the greatest defender in the history of world football. He is in the conversations with the likes of Pele, Maradona, Beckanbauer, Messi, Ronaldo. The greats, he is one of them. He is the heart and soul of Milan he is the human embodiment of Milan and the first thing Cardinale did was fire him. What an idiot.
@MarCel32mr2 ай бұрын
The fact that he was greatest defender and a Milan legend was just a big bonus, he actually was a good director, he managed to build a competitive team and won a scudetto with a transfer budget smaller than Atalanta. Now they spent 75 mil and can’t win against Parma
@74031512 ай бұрын
@@MarCel32mr the problem is just they dont know how to spend this isnt a midtable team this is a team with 2nd most ucl titles in history and 49 trophies but they buy bad players

Also, I understand the sentiments towards Di Canio as an analyst and how he and Cassano have a platform that they share with Capello and Ambrosini, etc. Italy is different with their tv audience than other countries.

I've been thinking these same thoughts ever since the summer we won our Scudetto. The hesitancy in outlining a plan that Maldini and mgmt could agree on. Look what Maldini recommended, and the direction Gerry and Co went instead.

Guys you are 💯 right. Gerry I confused. Hire a proper director or bring maldini back. Club has no structure. Also fonseca never had any business to be our coach, during the summer when de zerbi, conte , sari and alegri were available. This is joke and the season is compromised. Finish 4 best case scenario. Milan fan since 1988
@74031512 ай бұрын
things we have learned from this season yet 1. fonseca cant handle the press and isnt the coach milan needs and want he isnt good enough to manage this team 2. emerson royal got to be the worst signing i can remember milan make 3. loftus cheek isn't a 10 4. reijnerds cant defend 5.pavlovic is a great signings 6. rb is a position we need to upgrade on we had around 2 months but didnt as i and almost all if not all prefer calabria over emerson. 7. sacking fonseca is to early but if he still sits midtable at december/november we should look for options 8.loaning kalulu is a mistake he is by far 1000x better than emerson and is better than calabria 9. calabria should start over emerson he got more pace and offers more in attack and defense

Martino you touched on our biggest issue, we buy players for 20 million that don’t even pan out. Their re-sale value is garbage so we don’t even have a way to actually make money off the players we buy. Also we buy players for 20 million that are just so hit and miss. Like why Emerson? There are so many more young RBs who actually have excellent potential that could have been bought from other areas. That is why the person who needs to he sacked more than anyone else has to be Moncada. His scouting is atrocious. We should have had sales for these players by the end of last season so that as soon as the mercato opened they were gone and we opened up space. We should have bought Richard Rios. We should have bought Thiago Santos, promoted Liberali and completed the Abraham deal. We could have gotten Hummels for FREEE. Roma are beating us to players. ROMA. This is embarrassing
@henryhenry9782 ай бұрын
I never saw Maldini play but i knew he was a presence and a professional beyond any price. Teams cant buy tthe things Maldini brought to Milan and we fired him 🤦. Its the past yes but its tough to think what we lost and cant replace with Maldini. It also makes me wonder if Theo and Raffa kinda lost respect for the team because of the firing.
@rafiqi13282 ай бұрын
Maldini kept the leadership and players aligned. He is always in the lockerroom keeping the team grounded. What is this MGMT doing now?? It's only going downhill now. I wish we finish 10th this season and hope Redbird panic and sell the club to an ambitious investor. I am sure Maldini is coming back with new leadership

I’m leaving this here so everyone have a thought about it. Juventus spent 65 mil this summer. Total arrival spent 164 mil, Market value of the arrivals 333 mil Total sold players 103 mil Sold players value 200 mil Total spent 60-64 mil Now let’s look at Milan Total money spent this summer 75 mil Total market value of the players bought 214 mil Total departures 33 mil Total value of the players sold 140 mil. The source is transfermarkt it could be a small difference but this is showing how qualified are the Juventus management and how bad are Furlani and Mocanda, they spent less money than us and they bought players like Koop and Douglas Luis who are valued at 50 and 70 mil, how they spent only 65 mil? They are capable of selling players when we can’t sell 1 single player for a good amount of money. When you spent 75 mil and the only possible good player bought is Pavlo I say you have a big big problem, this summer transfer is a failure. I don’t agree with what you said about Gerry, he is a very arrogant owner and he hired people who just executes his orders and don’t say no, he fired Maldini for saying Milan needs bigger ambitions and bigger investments and who he hired? 3 people who never worked before on a similar position. Elliot was different, they said from the beginning they are a financial firm they won’t keep Milan, they hired Gazidis and Leonardo both of them had experienced, the club focused on young players to build up the team, the investments was smaller than now but the club had a clean strategy and people who knew how to do their job, yes later Maldini did mistakes with Dollaruma and Kessie but overall I would say the did way more good things to compensate for that. Now what is this management aiming for? 20 mil signings? 4th place? Mediocre coach? In my opinion we went 5 years back now.

Serie A as much as I love it they don’t have TV deals … so they are far behind England, Real and Barca in terms of pull and wages. Then you have Saudi that can offer greedy money. How serie a let Calafiori leave is a joke - he should be at Juve or Milan as a defensive pillar for 10 years … who could Milan sign realistically to take them to the next level. Sign some good squad players from lower serie A teams like Almqvist should be doing what Atalanta are doing Retegui etc bresciannini - Pavlovic looks good - emerson royal had to be a dodgy deal between the agent and milan everyone knows he isn’t good
