Beautiful. I went to tailoring school for three years and they did not taught us this hole. Using butt of the needle for finishing the bridge seems like a useful thing too. It makes me want to start sewing again.

Thank you very much for this incredible inside on these fantastic looking buttonholes. I have one question though. Do you first stitch the form the reverse side with a regular button hole stitch (minus the gimp thread) and THEN you stitch the top using a regular button hole stitch again and then grabbing the gimp thread in every second stock - It this the correct interpretation?

Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial, which I have tried for the first time today. I love the look of this style, but can you tell me, what size bite of stitch should I take for the buttonhole stitch, before I take the stitch into the gimp.............my first stitch is showing beyond the gimp......................I would love to get this perfect like yours. Again, thank you for sharing your expertise with us all. Kindest regards, Marysia.

I don't think can be explained. But perhaps what you could do is, pick a interval and stick with it. Good consistancy is more important. Leave extra large interval first, then go smaller will always look nice i think until you go to small interval and start bunching up. Think it depends on the silk twist size. thicker thread obvisouly need more spacing than thin thread.
Should you advise more about the kind of the main thread ?🎉

It's really beautiful but how does 1:35link to 1:40 ? The line on top of buttonhole is good! How?

hello, amazign video. may you advice me what is the quality of the threads and cordon you use and from which company?
@bespokeacademy3 жыл бұрын
Hello! We use gutermann silk #30, and the cord is “buttonhole gimp”, that is the name you should look for on the internet.

Doesn't help you are left handed. But i get it, like normal button hole except you wrap the gimp too. Quite clever.

Please sirs take many thanks for your time and efforts. However I am very much sorrys for lettings you to have knowledges, that you are so professional s meanings that you are moving your hands and their fingers with the somethings with the thread around the needles ( I thinks 🤔 maybe you are wrapping the threads somehow around the needles ) but I have great fears that doing the fast blurs maybe for the showings of not for the helpings, guidance for those who don't know what to do and are having the wanting to know. I give little advices : (1) give verbal Explanations (2)start processes from step 1 and explains what is step 2 then demonstrates step 2, (3) make or do all movements especially the ""showing off"" bits of the dancing of thread and needle SLOWLY for your viewers to see what you are doing (unlesses of course you are making videos for yourselfs to give patting on backs today "" mama Mia I am so fasts). Well Mr Man's or woman's or members of the LJBTQO genders ( I am apologises for not knowing what is correct for yous so I tries to include all groups for to make sure you are in all of thems ( I am the thoughtfuls no?) Well you must be haves grades for your works: grade is possibles 'q' for efforts. Commentses: trying hards, but confused if video is for public or how is said for the " narcissistics". Many good lucks for futures.

Another common name for that "thread" cord is gimp. It gives definition to the buttonhole and strength.

@@MRJOSEPH19791 hermanos peqienos, ay ay ay. As you say Milanese number 1. I am wondering what number is Great Britain. I think it must be very low number. Because Savile R ow introduced tailoring to the world and had the greatest empire the world has ever seen or known. And why does the world want to speak English Language? Maybe UK is not so good as Milan.

The Milanese buttonhole dose not require knots, it just adds unnecessary extra work.
