To reclaim our wildness is an act of revolution. MILCK’S hope is to create a video of natural beauty as an antidote to the feelings of rigidity we are encountering in our current environments. Jing Niu chose to film on the beach on real film with the vintage super 8 camera, surrendering to whatever nature was going to bring upon us. May this video remind anyone of their inherent worthiness, regardless of heritage or beliefs.

I finally sat down to fully focus on your latest video, and I loved it! Of course, when I think of the animalistic nature of humankind, I think of aggression and competition, but, for me, this video was about nurturing and collective consciousness through touch. (Illustrating a stark difference between how men and women are socialized). I also interpreted a "reverse evolutionary ritual," at play, a baptism, if you will, flirting with the idea of returning to the ocean where life on the planet began. I especially liked the "home movie" aesthetic which felt like we were getting a glimpse into someone's personal, intimate, candid, family life! So many layers of exploring roots (including the role of hair!)
