@@Bee_Thankful great question! Since I’m not a seasoned canner I just do not know the answer. Because it has ingredients in it that are questionable as far as the canning world goes (from what I’ve heard), it would be worth researching. I’d love to know if you find out the answer and maybe it would be of benefit to others!

How long will it stay good in the refrigerator?

I keep a good supply in a tightly sealed jar all the time. I’m guessing the vinegar helps prolong the life of it. Just be careful about residue around the edge of the lid because if spoilage happens, this is likely where it’ll begin. I think I can safely say 3-6 months is a good time frame for usability. Hope this helps!

Thank you, Tanya. I only recently found your channel and you have some interesting recipes that I intend to try. But to me, this recipe is definitely NOT spot on. This recipe is posted in several different places on KZbin, and I have tried it before. To me, this recipe definitely lacks the depth of flavor of Taco Bell Mild Border Sauce. But I think it can be fixed. To make this more authentic taste, I start with your recipe but add: 1-1/2 tsp of onion powder 1 tsp of garlic powder 3/4 tsp ground cumin

Thank you for your insightful thoughts! I have to be honest, I used to eat plenty of Taco Bell menu items but in the past 20 years or so I doubt I’ve eaten there twice. So if this doesn’t taste like what I remember Taco Bell mild sauce tasting like then it’s certainly just because either they’ve changed or I just can’t remember it well enough. 😄. Maybe next time I make a batch I’ll add those few ingredients as well. Who knows…it might strike a memory of all the things I used to eat from there! Welcome to the channel and I look forward to hearing what you think of some other recipes!

I wish I could sound intelligent and give you a good answer but honestly I haven’t a clue. I know a little about canning but not enough to feel safe giving advice. I’m so sorry! Because if the high vinegar content it honestly almost keeps good eternally in the fridge. I pretty much have it on hand at all times. Hope you enjoy it!
