Coming in on I-180/Business I-25/Business US 87/US 85 over the Union Pacific railyards. The city kind of has two downtowns: one for the state capitol and hospital area, and the business district, where the railroad is still a major force. Maps show the original US 85/87 crossing the railyards and going up Central Avenue. The crossing to Warren Street came later. Lincolnway (aka the Lincoln Highway, aka US 30) was (and is) the main east-west street. US 85/87 end their tag-team and/or concurrence just north of here; 85 turns northeast towards the Dakotas and 87 stays with I-25.
