What I don't like about this timeline is that Mileena and Kitana have only interacted once, ONCE. But yet we're supposed to feel some sort of strong rivalry, where there kind of isn't. I mean I know Kitana hates her and hates that she was cloned, but see Mileena doesn't feel the same way. Skarlet seems more of a new bitter rival for Mileena this time around. I would like to see Kitana and Mileena work alongside each other in the future, even temporarily. We have not seen any development with the two as of yet and I'm hoping that can change.

I was always dissapointed she wasn't the big bad in MKX, because she is just way better villlain than Shinnok. Like, he's an "evil sformer member of the council of elders", that could be a villain from anything. Mileena tho is a uniquely Mortal Kombat character, brutal from her very conception, while having an entertaining cheese factor to her and can even be mildly sympathetic. And like her dad, she LOVES violence and would be the kind of person to host a bloody tournament.

Mileena's death in new timeline was a major disappointment. The fact that she was an Empress of Outworld is the best positive thing that happened with her in that timeline. And... that pretty much is. She was shown as incompetent leader in favor to the Ancient Ogr... I mean Kotal Kahn. And come to think of it... no mentions of Kitana. Their rivalry is one of the most iconic in the whole franchise, but they didn't even bother to make a nod. Still, Mileena was given at least something, unlike guys such as Ermac and Reptile. Nice reference to Goldust, Snake xD Keep it up.

This scene with her death is just a huge waste. I would make Teen Titans hesitate to give Kotal amulet so he binds them before Mileena get killed. Then someone (i would go for Jacqui since she does the least of these 4 plotwise) calls Kotal for not being any better than Shao Kahn. Mileena upon hearing that realizes that her father died, because he had it coming, not out of Raiden's spite, her lust for revenge was needless and that's why she's about to be executed. With that in mind she headbutts D'vorah when she's about to make that kiss of death. Then one of Kotal's guards attacks her with a sword and she let him hit her binds. Free from captivity she knocks guards down (or kills them) and storms out of the tent followed by D'vorah and Kotal and that's when her chapter starts (curse this system). Tanya shows up and helps her (since Rain is a traitor he teleports away). First she fights D'vorah, then Kotal and they both flee. Meanwhile Justice League free themselves from their binds and approach Mileena. Cassie tells her about Rain's scheme and she further realizes how her desire for revenge made her blind. While still furious she tries to calm down and decides to give up her pointless crusade against earthrealm. She makes a truce with Special -Treatment- Forces kids, decides to rally rebels and wait for a good opportunity to weaken Kotal's influence. Since we need 4 fights in the chapter (please don't let MK11 have it) she confronts Rain about his plot and then maybe Ermac, who defects from Kotal Kahn after Mileena speaks with him about Shao Kahn and other of his creations. In Jaqui's chapter she ambushes Kotal's army, involuntarily helps these 4 survive and they flee the scene. Makes more sense than Lin Kuei coming out the woodwork, especially considering Sub-Zero sits with thumb up his ass for the whole game. At the end Kotal would be weakened or defeated. Anyway in the next game she would be ready to fight her revenant sister with their good/evil allignments now being reversed, it would be interesting (Mileena would be more neutral than good, but you get the point). Or just make this bug bitch kill her and remove anything worthwhile that could come from her character. Thanks Netherrealm.

The original fan favorite monster girl with infinite possibilities to have deep and interesting character development gets fucking killed by a walking wasp nest that's been here for 30 minutes. Honestly I adore Mileena, I really wanted to see a wider range of emotion from her character, to show that behind her psychotic and violent demeanor lies a broken and empty woman who just yearns to be seen as more than just a mistake. I really wish they didn't turn her into kind of a joke in MKX, being betrayed by literally everyone then fucking killed off by some new character. Like where was the respect for this character? Also that would be so cool to see a team of Mileena, Skarlet, and Ermac, the dynamic of that team alone could make its own god damn game. I'd pay good money for a Shaolin Monks styled game with those three, or even just Skarlet and Mileena.

If you're wondering it was a Naruto crossover fic where the basic plot is Mileena gets betrayed by the elder gods, ends up in Leaf Village via portal, kills a few Hyuuga clan members, gets captured and r**ped by Hiashi who wants to create a new breed of Hyuuga, falls pregnant with Hinata, stays in the leaf, becomes a urban legend and works with Sarutobi to bring Hiashi down. She goes through alot of growth like in my comment but it hasn't been updated in years :(

Mileena in Deception was the best. Yeah it's cool that she has lips now, but I prefer her to be the opposite complexion of Kitana while still being in a way "Kitana". Sareena, Kia, and Jataaka should also be as overtly sexual as Mileena. Their entire backstory revolves around making a deal with Quan Chi to make them not hideous - now that they're hot, they would logically flaunt that sex appeal as much as possible. Sareena might dress slightly more conservatively than her sisters due to her wanting nothing to do with Quan Chi anymore, but even then I personally get the impression from her Deadly Alliance arc that she more than anything wants to be as human as possible. If that's the case then she'd still be proud of her human form and flaunt it even though she wouldn't be proud of how she came to possess it.

Mileena’s endings have a lot of potentials. In MK gold she kills Kitana and takes her thrown, in MK Armageddon her face becomes normal while Kitana gets Mileena's tarkatans features and is locked up and goes insane, mk9 Mileena kills Shao Kahn and steals Shang Tsung powers, and then in mk10, she has an army of Mileena who can read each other minds.

I always got the idea in the original timeline that Mileena is an imperfect clone to Kitana, Shao Kahn wanted Kitana as a daughter but needed a more loyal version, Mileena obviously had some noticeable flaws and could never replace Kitana. Mileena now wants to prove to Shao Kahn that she is KItana's equal, which makes the their fight in Mk2 a big personal deal. That's why I think it hurts her story in MKX, everything about her is top notch besides her altered backstory. Seeing her try to prove to others and herself that she can be a competent leader like Kitana would be, but failing and never becoming Kitana's equal. I also thought they did a good job with her attire and mannerisms. We know she attempts to be sexy because of her character rather than her over the top wardrobe in mk9

Mileena has always been my main in the MK games. I love everything about her. The games always put the focus mainly on Scorpion and Sub-Z, but there are other characters who have a story to tell, like Mileena, Raiden, Ermac. For Raiden : why does a god ally himself with mortals ? Why does Raiden want to defend Earthrealm so much ? And what about Ermac ? Does Ermac have the memories of all the souls that reside inside him ? How does that affect him ? Does he view himself as a separate being from these souls ? Did he try in the past to get to know more about these souls, for example did he travel to the hometown of one of these souls ?

SUUUUPER LATE Reply! There's possibility for another unique route to take: Mileena, Ermac, Skarlet and Meat as an autonomous renagade outfit, with Mileena at the helm. The idea being that all the loss of purpose Mileena feels, and the treatment of her by Shao Khan as so desposible, turns her feelings of loyalty into resentment. Esspecially with the knowledge that if she joins with Khans forces again it would enivitabily lead to the same heart ache she's been goning through but worse. So with Ermac, Skarlet, and Meat feeling very much the same way, they form a unit with sole purpose of tearing down Shao Khan's empire. Not out of loyalty to Edenia, or anything like that, but for revenge of their treatment, and abuse by Khan. And since they are an outlaw gang of sorts they can align with whoever they want, and strike whenever they want, which would lead to some very fascinating match ups. Plus the idea of a final showdown with Kitana, a redeemed Sindel, the renegade Mileena, and the soul of Jarrod in Ermac's body would be the ultimate fuck you to Shao Khan's treachery. The idea that even Khan's monster, clone, daughter would turn against him, would be a fitting symbolic end for an empire built on treachery. All of Khan's work undone, and it's ultimately his fault, would be the last thing that goes through his head beforee he dies.

To maybe expand on your point, what if Mileena (second timeline) tried to create the family she never had. But as a psychotic, she does it in the most batshit crazy way. What if she started capturing fighters to fulfill various familial roles, like Sonya as the mother and Tanya as her sister? That's something a broken, childlike mind would do. She could still be trying to take over Outworld, but this could be a whole side project using characters that aren't the focus of the main plot. Anyway, you've done fantastic work as usual.

I always thought it would be cool if Kitana and Mileena joined forces for a time would have been cool. New timeline Kitana is somehow freed from revanat status, mileena brought back. Have them bump heads and then realize fighting is stupid and only perpetuates their status of pawns in other people's plots. They over take outworld, Mileena rules there and Kitana returns to Edenia to become queen and rebuild. Mileena gets her recognition as her own identity and finally gets to become Empress (something she's wanted in both time lines) and Kitana gets to go home. Win win lol

Looking back on this video, I kind of like what Mileena's arcade ending is like in MK11? With Kronika's crown, the first thing she's shown to do is try to reconcile with Kitana. As shown later, she could easily force her to submit, but instead her approach is genuine. Despite this, Kitana still cannot stand her presence, leading to her demise at the hands of a rightfully enraged Mileena. Then from there, she takes up her rule under the guidance of her 'parents' as she had wanted and even makes Kitana's lover submit to her rule. Lastly, we see her settled with Tanya and a child, possibly having been born from her and a likely deceased Liu Kang, considering the human arms, to spite Kitana once last time. While I would have liked to have seen her and Kitana bury the hatchet instead, it does feel like a genuine embodiment of what could be done with her story. Or I'm just glad we finally got something much better than Twindel's ending and appearance in Aftermath. Hard to tell with these games these days..

To go off on a tangent, I felt Kitana’s long hair was another defining physical trait that NRS left out. I always thought that Kitana’s long ponytail in games like MKDA and MK9 represented the fact that while Kitana is a fighter, she is also of royalty and is someone who cares deeply about her appearance (not to Mileena’s extent, of course). In MKX I feel that while they did captured the Asian princess look, they left out a seemingly minor feature that actually meant a lot about the character (at least to me).

It's a shame they never ever EVER address Kitana's cruelty to Millena when she trusted and loved her. They just constantly let Kitana get away with calling her an abomination, and several other terrible names while showing her nothing but contempt and never even giving her a chance to be anything different. Which is pretty cruel considering she NEVER ASKED to be cloned and wants to live. They need to actually treat Kitana's cruelty towards her as something bad. But it seems the 'good guys' can be 1000% cruel to the 'bad guys' and Nether will never treat it like it's a bad thing.

Very late, but, though I do think Kitana can be really cruel towards Mileena, which is why I was really hoping she would come to respect her in MK11, which now seems unlikely, you also have to consider her side. Mileena's mere existence is traumatizing to her, even if it isn't something Mileena did intentionally. Mileena being made was an eye opener to Kitana that she was disposable and was potentially even in danger, and when hearing Shao Kahn tell her the truth, that just made it all worse. Mileena didn't ask to be made, and Kitana didn't ask for her to be made, let alone even know about it. Not to mention she was raised by Shao Kahn, and would not take being cloned without even knowing lightly. Kitana's attitude towards Mileena is actually why I think a Mileena redemption arc is necessary. Because in this case, both she AND Kitana are being developed. Mileena learns to become a better person and hold back her savage and ravenous nature, while Kitana comes to accept Mileena and learns that she really just wants a family and a sense of belonging. That's my thoughts for the new timeline and I actually think Kitana is much more understandable, though in the old timeline I actually find Kitana very dislikable and there isn't as much of a good reason for her to dislike Mileena, considering they were raised together and she should have shown more affection to her.

I don't know why you assume Mileena's death will last, Mileena dies in most of the games she appears in. She's always back in a game or two anyway. hell, given she likely went to hell upon death Kitana could resurrect her herself to act as a bopdydouble/assassin. They even point out in her mirror matches and endings there's likely other bodies for her to inhabit.

I always loved mileena, i had hoped that mileena would been a fair but strict ruler. but she is far younger than her original self and their for didn't really know much about politics and how to rule. Also would been interesting to explore more of mileena and seeing she more complex than what we think, perhaps even getting a redemption of sorts. Personally i think she should have escaped somehow and ended up somewhere on earthrealm, gaining some new and unlikely allies. Have her wanting to regain throne of outworld but perhaps see why people abandoned her and why she was a terrible leader. Sounds like fanfiction i know but would been interesting if we gotten to see mileena progress a bit somehow.

There's still possibility that Baraka survived. D'Vorah could kill another tarkatan, who was acted as Baraka. Baraka's MK Deception ending comes to mind. Just trying to back up the good old character, but at the same time i realize that another tarkatan theory doesn't make a lot of sense. And the player may also spare Baraka, D'Vorah says he's dead in both ways. But i don't see why she would spare him. Especially considering that she wanted to kill Rain and Tanya later on. Can you imagine amount of hate in case she done that? xD

I love Mileena for the same reason I love Harley Quinn: I like bad girls with an undercurrent of wanting to be a good person. With Harley, current DC canon is that she is an anti-hero (which I love and prefer) and with Mileena, I feel that her natural progression should have been the same. She was always wanting positive validation, and with a good writer, they could have easily accomplished this. In fact, her plot arc in my eyes was ironically given to BARAKA of all people in MK 11, so clearly they thought about it but since she has a serious case of "being dead", they recycled her progression into his.

I just realized that Mileena and Frost are similar characters in terms of personality. Both of them want people to see that they are more than just clones of other characters. They both have a wasted potential personality in terms of needing attention from others and wanting to be known as a dominant threat. Mileena being the empress of Outworld and Frost cyberizing herself. Both want to replace their counterparts of Kitana and Sub-Zero. I wish they are both in an MK game together and team up and actually succeed.

I think NRS missed the boat by making Mileena's death look more significant in MK11. The only moments she was mentioned was when Shao Kahn learns the D'Vorah killed her and later when he confronts Kitana saying that if she had shown that fire in her eyes, he'd had no need of Mileena. And another missed opportunity - the exclusion of Rain and especially Tanya from the story. Tanya was one of the few people that deeply cared about her and she didn't reject her due to her Tarkatan mouth. I'd rather have this in MK11 - have Tanya and Rain being recruited by Kronika by offering them greater roles in the New Era and most likely reuniting with Mileena. They gladly accept since they express deep resentment towards Kotal Kahn (he was after all the one who ordered the execution of Mileena and D'Vorah did it at his order).

I just wish MK would go back to the old timeline. This new timeline is absolute trash to me. Outside of maybe Cassie and Kung Jin, none of the new characters have any kind of charisma whereas I actually liked a lot of the 3D-era newbies. At least Mileena had some history and relevance in the original timeline. She was stripped of the basics in the new timeline as she doesn't even have any relationship with Kitana thanks to being a fresh creation when we first meet her.

Also an interesting thing I thought about with Mileena is she could be secretly self loathing but hides behind her childish personality and flirtations, kind of like Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of The Galaxy who (when drunk) goes on a rant about how people constantly put him down for what he is, degrading him by calling him “rodent” and “vermin” and how people are laughing at him (no one was at the time but he thought they were) and he finishes with this “WELL I DIDN’T ASK TO GET MADE! I DIDN’T ASK TO BE TORN APART AND PUT BACK TOGETHER, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, TURNED INTO SOME LITTLE MONSTER!” Unfortunately the way NR seem to be doing things nothing that deep or tragic would most likely happen.

This was something that always bugged me: Why is it that no one (or at least not NRS) has made the connection that Ermac should have personal motive for hating Shao Kahn. The most willful soul among the entirety of the Ermac collective is Jerrod, who would naturally resist his former masters once the spell maintaining his allegiance is broken, perhaps even going on to support Edenian interests afterward. But another thing which came to mind which I wished was explored was the fact that as Mileena is a clone of Kitana, that means that she is Jerrod's daughter by extension as well. You could have had Ermac realizing this and, although Kitana and Sindel are dead, he is not entirely without family. At the same time, Mileena had every parental figure of hers (Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung) die very shortly after her "birth" so I figure she could appreciate this as well. If NRS wanted to get *really* spicy, Ermac-Jerrod could have fought for Edenia's freedom and taken on Mileena as his new daughter between MKIX and MKX. Suddenly the shoe is on the other foot, as it is Kitana who has had her rightful place "taken" from her and Mileena wants to free her sister from the taint of evil to get the family back together. For an extra ironic twist, they could keep Mileena's shrinking jaws (or have them be retractable so she can look like a normal Edenian or her original form at will) - now, you have Mileena with her kingdom and good looks in contrast to Kitana, who does not rule Edenia and looks like a gray corpse.

Her covering up more in MKX makes sense, as she has matured. I just don't understand why they introduced the worst character in the series to kill her, without even making sense of anything. Mileena can teleport, why didn't she teleport before dying? While I know that she'll be back since it's Mortal Kombat, the story went downhill so fast during MKX, and even further during MK11. She needs some sort of a self-redemption arc, where she finds out what she truly wants & goes for it...and not dying to a glorified gnat.

I always assumed it was like Jurassic Park, where the genome is incomplete. Maybe the flesh she's made from is from dead tarkatans, or a new idea I have is that it was intentional, as tarkatans are more subservient, making her easier to control.

I always thought the implication was that because of how fierce/blood thirsty the Tarkatans are as warriors/killers, Shao Kahn wanted those qualities mixed with the natural skill and grace of an Edenian like Kitana---- At least, that's what the rebooted timeline Shao Kahn wanted anyway.

kitanas ending in mk9 was perfect for mileeena, because she accepted her and mileena fought side by side with her, i would of liked to see some type of longing to see her sister again or something.
