Great job Miles, thanks for posting, and what great tone you play with! I recently upgraded my 321 Yamaha with a Garner headjoint and then dropped in a Tornado tone booster. Both really seemed to help my tone, as I play flute as a sax and trumpet double and don't have tons of practice time (or discipline, hate to say). Any opinion on these two upgrades?

If only customers realised that changing pads on a flute is not the same as changing the tyres on your vehicle

This is a big disappointment. Shurley if the instrument is made properly and tested at the manufacturers in the first place it would not need to be adjusted. Maybe a student model or something. But not a pro job. I don't know. Would a Nagahara or a muramatsu or sankyo need this done. All these flutes are very expensive. Even student models what are we paying for. The flute in this video is a brand new upgraded model I think.

Andrew Quirey Sometimes issues can arise due to the shipping process. If an instrument sits in a hot vehicle on its way to us this could cause pads to shift slightly. Knowing this to be a possibility, we play test every instrument we sell to make sure it is playing top notch before it finds a home with a customer. Other issues are also adjusted to specific player needs so that each player has an instrument set up to their particular and personal playing style. Let's admit it, we're all picky musicians and none of us wants just another horn off the shelf. :)
