I have frequent traveler, and by year end (with currently planned travel) I should have around 1800 Points… is it worth me “hustling” to get to Senator status? Im not sure if my benefits will improve that much, that’s worth the cost of an intercontinental business one way, or roundtrip intercontinental economy . Not even sure I could swing it with vacation days comfortably

I’m curious what others think here. I stopped doing mile runs some years ago because I happen to travel enough. In the end it’s always a question of how you frame it for yourself and whether it’s worth it to you. I don’t think it’s worth the hassle of flying more than you need to, that’s usually already enough of stress.

No, you generally do not earn award points when you book a Lufthansa flight using miles. This is a standard practice among most airlines and frequent flyer programs. When you book a flight with miles, you are essentially redeeming the points you have already earned, and thus, you do not earn additional points for that flight.

New system sucks, the voucher/upgrade is automatically used without your consent. Also a bit deceiving when you fly other airlines they ask you for complimentary upgrade... then you dont even get the food for that class it sucks, like, Discover airlines... FRA - HER. Then you think they upgrading due to status... but they are using the voucher! Same with business class international! Also, no such thing as priority bags. Its always delayed lol. Anyways that automatic voucher thing needs to be change.

Hi, one question: to be a frequent traveler do I have to have both 650 points and 325 qualifying points or is only one enough? Because I will easily reach the qualifying points, but unfortunately not the points within one year..

Great question, but unfortunately you have to get 650 points for the FTL. Of those 650 points, half have to be qualifying points, so 325.
