This is the best golf instructional video I’ve ever seen. I lost my dad in 2020. He was not a church going person and one time were talking about not going or going to church, god and other things. He told me, “just come out here and play. Then you’ll know what it means to ‘be still and know.’”

Erik, you and your team have me in tears. I had the privilege of playing this course while serving as a chaperone for a youth pilgrimage to Scotland. Our tour took us to St. Andrew’s for a few hours, and though I had the opportunity to walk the grounds and even sneak a photo op on the 18th green, there was a feeling of disappointment in me because I knew there would be no time for golf during our trip. Then we arrived on Iona for a two-day stay and I discovered this course. I rented garage-sale clubs from one of the inns and played the round of my life among the cattle and clover. When you said “heaven looks like this”… all I could do was nod. And your ending segment, drawing a parallel between your experience at the church service and your time on the course. Perfectly expressed and reminiscent of my time there. Thank you so much for making this trip and this video!

I watch this video a few times a year because I believe it beautifully reflects the relationship between golf and one's soul. Also, I added this video to Iona's official Wikipedia page, and it's the 69th citation... nice.

Being locked up in New Zealand the last few years we were so happy to see our friends on Iona Erik, it’s a place lots of us around the world always go back to especially to play in the open. “Big”Finlay is our boy Finlay’s godfather and a real gentleman. I have my name on the Iona Open cup and it would be a pleasure to show round our new home and my golf club in Wanaka, New Zealand. How bizarre would that be to meet Big Finlay in Scotland then wee Finlay in New Zealand. If you think Ricks swing is bad wait till you see my Iona swing!

Thank you for opening up this amazing world of golf. Any other creator would have made a 15-20 minute top 10 or 20 list of courses and would have given each one a minute or two. You guys and gals really have something special here, I recommend this series to everyone that I talk about golf with, someday this series is going to really take off and honestly you all deserve it.

This is why I LOVE AIG. I love perfect greens, but this puts golf in perspective with the inner glow of life on the course. It's a dream sometimes, and you showed it to me in color. What an amazing experience. I want to play IONA golf with the locals. How much better can that be, then to slow down and relax while playing golf, as opposed to anguish at a not so thrilling score for the day. Thank you for going with your heart on a journey of the unknown to bring it to us. God Bless as they say, I'm sure, in IONA!
