Demo had performance issues and some bugs, but I had plenty of fun with it. Making Robocop a Deus Ex-style RPG with detective elements was a pretty good call. Its also very mature and cheesy in a good way, just like Robocop should be. I'm looking forward to the full game.

Robocop’s one of my favorite films ever, and I’m glad to see they actually added a lot of depth to Murphy’s internal struggle here. I expected a reference here and there while you just run into rooms and shoot bad guys but they’re actually nailing his calamity. The amount of detail is actually pretty damn impressive.

Maybe the city is modern but the game definitely isn't set in current times. The TV's are CRT's. There's payphones and the home/police phones are landline phones. They have VHS (VTS in this game) not DVD and there's a VHS rental shop. Computers are big old computers.

Technical performance aside, I had a blast with this demo. Clomping around Detroit and doing miscellaneous objectives reminded me of Deus Ex, which I dearly love, but the combat sequences are actually more like playing Time Crisis, of all things. RoboCop's slow pace and lack of a quick turn aren't really a problem when all your targets always enter frame right in front of you, shooting gallery style. Best of all, the sense of humor is intact - sidequest dialogue had me laughing out loud more than once. I've officially moved this game up from "cautiously optimistic" to "genuinely hyped." If I had one complaint, it's that I wish there were more physics interactions with the environment. There's something very satisfying about walking through a window, but I'd love it more if all sorts of random crap got knocked over. In the game world, even a strand of yellow police tape is enough to stop RoboCop in his tracks.

The weapons feel surprisingly punchy, although the Auto 9 does not sound like the movie one. Turning Robocop into a deux Ex lite game is a perfect choice. The cobra assault rifle will be amazing I am sure. They are evolving steadily, the Terminator game was already pretty fun. They should redo a Rambo game as a stealth action Thief\metal gear game.

It is a shader compilations issue. They confirmed it in their statement regarding the demo's performance issues. As for the demo, solid and a decent if familiar evolution of the gameplay loop and design from Terminator: Resistance. As for if things will change for the final release, we can only hope a stable game engine by then, but what we got is what will be the opening hours of the game. It is a budget title after all.

One thing I like to see is more expressions in their faces and head movements. Fear, anxiety, movements in the brow, eyebrow, frowning, arrogance.. Also, more different angles shots around the character interactions, hair flow movement withing longer hair.. Some movements are naturally faster than others, less stiffness,more lighting and shadows..

It sure is more unexpcted. Even the trailer made it looks like some on-rails Virtua Cop, but they're actually trying to put some actual sauce into it. Granted, it's not much, but no one really expects there to be much. Biggest problem is this is gonna get buried in ealry November. I think even Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has a bigger marketing push.

I hope in the final build his gun sounds correct. Weird oversight to not even try to replicate the iconic sound of his gun in a shooting game. Bonus points if they add the "whoosh" noise when you open a door.

First..... I'm excited to see this game. I'm being very hopeful. I mean it kind of feels like Fallout and Cyberpunk 2077. And Terminator: Resistance. If they're doing the same thing with this game like the Terminator game and maybe we'll see a branching pathways or a morality system. Maybe we'll do some detective work investigation bits. Maybe slowmo shots like in Fallout Games. Like here 12:45

If they still hold the license for the terminator IP, I would be pleasantly surprised if they do a DLC of a Terminator vs. Robocop mission. Like a mission that a terminator has come from the future to assassinate somebody important to the future in detroit. and you have to follow his path of destruction and deduce from witnesses and clues who the target is. and intercept the Terminator.
