After 3, 4 was just a huge disappointment It's a step up in terms of sandbox stuff but in terms of a fun game and pure Just Cause chaos it's just not there compared to 3 3 is absolute perfection. • Focused all around causing damage and chaos • While story isn't amazing the characters are still fun • Has the best version of Rico in both voice, design, and characterisation • The DLC is pretty great (lightning gun, mech, and jetpack were incredible additions) I could go on. I just hope 4 isn't the end of the series, if they just gave us a game more like 3 in terms of gameplay then it should be a home run I'm not sure if you have played 3 yet but if you haven't I really hope you play it next, you won't be let down

the only thing i have against 3 is their shitty drift mechanic could use a little more work other than that i agree with everyone the DLC for 3 especially for the jetpack was one of few of the greatest DLC's i have ever got to witness and enjoyed the damn DLCs are that good its probably worth having a mission selection just to replay them again would be worth ngl i think 4 was just a massive cash grab cause they understood that even tho half their player base didnt get to experience the DLC's of 3 and moved on to other games after speed binge playing. A whole new player base spawned because of 3 really good thought out and planned DLCs i still enjoy jetpacking solo blowing up bases without touching the ground like a human jet.... is it sad to say i even enjoy terrorizing the Train Carts just to get shot at with homing rockets

People hate this game because of the fact that enemies eventually retake liberated settlements after enough time. That's what my friend said anyway. He's a Just Cause Veteran, while I haven't even beaten the first two.

The big reasons it's hated by fans of the series is because it strayed away from what made the series great in the first place Yeah it still has the explosions but it changed missions to objective based crap instead of just blowing stuff the hell up Part of the fun of 3 is just slowly destroying everything, and when you have you can just press the button to reset all bases and towns and you can do it again

Loved 2 and 3 so much. I sank so many hours of my life playing those games. Got 4 and although the tether stuff was cool I was turned off by the missions and territory warfare gameplay. I think the mission you did freeing the dudes on that navy base was as far as I got before moving on to something else. Maybe I'll give it another try b/c Just Cause used to be so awesome man.

Been saying this for years and its not an original take, but the JC series suffered the same as the Saints Row 4. The new awesome powers and abilities made using vehicles redundant. I think if they included weather events from 4, more destruction from 3/4, all of the grappling hook mods, the rockets/c4, the cool infinite battles on contested borders, limit use of the wingsuit, then slap it all into the mission structure from 2 then it would be the perfect JC game. And before anyone mentions how you can just not use the wingsuit, that would be the same as not using the powers from the Dishonored series. YES, I know thats an actual feature in the game, but the majority of people aren't going to forgo using the most fun features for the sake of trying to appreciate other features.

ngl, I dont care for 4, just because its not like 3... 3 it felt like they just sat down at the idea table and said "chaos... funny... and explosion" and that was the basis for the whole game and they hit a HOMERUN while they put to much thought into 4 and took away the janky chaos that was 3, I have put hundreds of hours into 3, and barely any into 4, I came to just cause thinking its name was cause not like a good cause, but I thought it said like just cause I wanna, and that feels like a good way to describe 3, the game tells the player "hey... blow shit up" "why?" I really wish it looked better on current gen consoles. PS5 Pro helps a bit but it's aliasing and cutscenes are still awful. Then there's the lod pop in. I ADORE the gameplay in these though. So much to mess with. Making flying cars by puting one low power booster in each corner under it. Attaching a chain of bodies to the rear of a plane. Putting a booster on the top of a car so you can pin it to a building side and drive up it. Flying tanks like A-Team. Making the fastest car you can by just carefully mounting boosters on a car's rear and hoping it doesn't start doing cartwheels 😂. Game series needs a return to form. I honestly enjoy these way way more than GTA 5.

Here are my issues with just cause 4. The fact that if you manage to get the jetpack wing suits in four, it feels like a very heavy downgrade than it was in three. The fact that the lightning gun didn't come back in any way shape or form despite the fact that it just cost four. It's all about controlling. The weather is kind of dumb to me. Two out of the three DLCs and just cost four feel redundant which is the hoverboard DLC and the cars because the best way to get from one place to another is parachute, jetpack and wingsuit just cause three just felt more great when it came to blowing stuff up, doing missions, doing something crazy with stunts and explosives that you feel like a badass in four It feels difficult and on top of that the weapon variety is kind of weird cuz instead of having pistols two extra guns and mines you were stuck with one gun and that's it and mines. The weird like stranger things, parasite of the worldly DLC in four felt like if you weren't on your A game you will lose really bad all the time. You will die all the time. You cannot get a breather the entire time. You're doing the DLC. Overall. It feels like the people who made three were so confident in four being better than three. That three was the better game. In fact, just cause 3 is a better game in terms of gameplay explosions and just blowing stuff up in general. But four had a good map but it didn't feel as fleshed out as it should. Plus they kind of made it really complicated with the whole rebellion system
