5:50 Here's Testament from past vs current one: 1. They could send out skull as slow moving projectile that curses opponent making their crow start attacking. Now they sends out crow in straight horizontal line or towards succubus. 2. They could teleport to opponent as a counter move and in their EX version they could teleport any time they wanted. Teleport was an attack. Now they can teleport to succubus and it's not an attack. 3. They had 2 traps (tree from the ground and bloody spiderweb) they could set on stage and could be enhanced by landing air throw or one of overdrives. Traps are now gone. 4. They could send out giant jaws as a ground projectile either from themself or from behind the opponent. Now they can send it out only from themself, but can aim it into air and it leaves succubus at the end of hitbox.

FYI, both versions Testament has the exact same animation, but the portal appears on frame 20. That's the only thing that tells you which direction to block. Pretty difficult to react to compared to a lot of strive mixups, and it looks like if the opponent is Stained you can get a meterless combo.

I wanna see what they're gonna do about season 2 because I'm now noticing that both Baiken and Testament don't have the notable (and almost notorious) Guilty Gear HCB->F for either of their Overdrive. Every other character in the game up to Happy Chaos has at least one. I wonder if they're phasing it out or if like Max said, they're doing it for the more polarizing characters like Baiken and Testament to get people to use them.

I do think that super cinematic but not very useful destroyed moves are a good option in order to increase teh appeal of the game in teh future. i really hope that they also give each character one new move, considering they have been very restricted with the moves amounts. (and i really hope that dickinson and giovanna recieve one interesting move that uses the alien/doggo in some form of unique and creative way)

For some of those who are confused of how little of a moveset testament has, remember stained state. If that successfully hits, it literally gives you more combo opportunity (just look at that dust attack on stained state, it launches the enemies in the air, not that high, but enough to open up new combo routes). I am eagerly waiting for them to discover these routes AAAAAAAAAAAAA

This might finally be the character for me. I really like baiken combos but alot of them require set up with the teather before hand. Which is still alot of fun but ive been really wanting a character with a decent amount of different combo options that you can kinda just go for I also like bieng abel to extend combos with meter in a different way then just roman cancel.

Kinda miss the accent core Testament gameplay already. I mained Zato back then but loved playing Testament as a "switching it up" pick. Wasn't the best with him but man did setting up trap combos make you feel like a god when you got them just right. Dropping traps in odd places only to toss the opponent half way across the scene perfectly into a trap you kinda forgot that you accidentally popped a while ago. Or doing tree and crow setups to force your opponent to play reckless to try and clear that garbage only to fall into a combo due to not blocking. I honestly get why people hated him but I for one really enjoyed his gameplay back then. Definitely felt like a unique character

I said that many times now but what i truly like about this is that testament still has his core identity to his character intact. He has somewhat of a curse, somewhat of a trap and still keep his midrange pressure. However, he is not the exact same character as before. Although i will miss his playstyle sincr i really liked playing him before in+R. Im happy with the changes. Honestly waaaay better than what they did to poor baiken
