If we take the Jin spoilers into the equation, the implication becomes very clear that Kazuya is the more evil half of that fusion and thus the Devil is indeed becoming more Kazuya.

@@quisetell good point, I've just thought that he was good in tekken 1 but because of the devil inside of him and everything that's been happening, kazuya just slowly went nuts being the reason why he becomes the villain. I think that if he didn't have the devil, he wouldn't be at least as evil as he became and now that Angel Jin wiped the devil from him, he'll probably start to become that edgy badass side antihero and we'll really see who the evil side was. Edit: he's definitely gonna die in tekken 9 or 10 tho, he'd probably make a sacrifice or just straight up get killed

Kazuya was just as power hungry as Rugal from SNK was. Both of them hosted a tournament, both of them already inheriting dark powers absorbs more dark power from another boss. Devil Kazuya absorbed Azazel to become True Devil Kazuya while Rugal, already inheriting the Orochi power absorbs Akuma's Satsui No Hado to become Ultimate Rugal.

As an Italian, Claudio's English translation is all over the place wtfff😂😂😂. I mean, you can tell by yourself even if you don't know the language. At 35:27 (SPOILERS) subtitles say "And yet, I have no intention of attaining my goal through sacrifice!"...and then he just sacrifices himself. THAT'S because what he actually said is "However, my sacrifice won't be in vain." Also, later on Xiaoyu addresses Panda, and the subtitles go "...the panda" Then Jin says Ogre's name, and the subtitles go"...the ogre". Man, this game sure is great, but whoever worked on translation and subtitles was lucky as heck they got the job

I like the story and plot direction, but the ececution of the scene-by-scene character interactions and the dialogue are very wooden. It's mostly due to two reasons that this was technically a good idea : - It fits perfectly with Kazuya's goal since in order for him to conquer the world he needed all the power he could get no matter the cost. - It further paves the ground for Kazuya vs Jin since although Jin is weaker rn, Kazuya knows how powerful someone can get with the Devil Gene so he wanted to have all the advantages in terms of power he could take no matter the cost since if Jin controls his devil form and gets another form earlier on it's checkmate for Kazuya
