Literally completed story mode and as a die hard Tekken fan, I’ve had a blast throughout. Definitely didn’t expect myself to let out happy tears while playing and I’m glad I did! The numerous amounts of musical call backs from previous games to Jin utilizing Mishima and Kazama styles during the final fight was incredible.

I blitzed through Story Mode on Normal difficulty last night, I wouldn’t say I’m good at Tekken but maybe above average, and boy was it a good time. My only experience with the story was Tekken 7 and the recaps so this was SO off the rails.

@@shirothr5384 I admit the "cutesy" fake outs can be interesting, but I am so fed up with this cliche, "Jin-senpai" and etc.. I rolled my eyes and ignored those moments, but they do exist. The edgelady moments were more interesting, for whatever reason I still like this cliche, it doesn't offend me. As for the devil gene, at first I consider it dumb, but after reading some comments about it, now it seems obvious she is simply a lab experiment, they picked the genes of Heihachi and Kazumi and the result is Reina. The existence of Steve Fox and Nina in this universe pretty much opens the way for this, the negative aspect is how that can kill the mystique of the devil gene (after all, unlike Soul Calibur, Tekken still sells), at the beginning they already tease how the devil can surge on random people, so for any random character to become Devil just because there's nothing more you can do with the Mishimas, that's kinda lame... but I digress, the best game of the series had Jinpachi "possessed" by a demon as the final boss

It looks like long time T7 players forget about heat a lot. They thought it’d just be for combos, but I have been having fun using it to force counter hits so opponents can’t switch the tides. I just realized how much of the Tekken story revolves around "ending the devil gene"; but aren't Jin and Kazuya literally the only two in the entire world? It's not like it's a rampart problem that's been a plague on the world (disregarding the the fact that Kazuya could seemingly just fly around and laser nuke the world); these problems were caused by just them individually. It's also not like they're Heihachi going around having 20 kids and spreading the devil gene further. Kazuya doesn't seem interested in any more kids, and Jin's not doing anything either.
