Funny how people that work in Vegas aren't connecting the dots. Previous generations would drink and gamble more in Vegas because Vegas was way more affordable back then. The strip has basically turned into Disneyland where you just get gouged at every opportunity.

Happy New Year Guys!! Thanks as always for the great info and summaries!! Holding the F1 Race on the LV Strip is one of the worst moves the County Commissioners and LVCVA ever did. For a three-day event the disruption, wasted gas, and wasted time has been insane. 2024 was obviously better than 2023 in the way that armed robbery is better than murder. However I've talked to several people who got caught unawares by the F1 pre-race/F1 post-race disruptions in 2023 or here in 2024 that say they'll go elsewhere. The public, Strip workers/near-Strip workers, and average businesses in the area are the big losers while F1 and a handful of casinos do well. Private gain versus public losses. I'm pro free enterprise but this "public-private partnership" for F1 is an overall bad deal for Las Vegas.

At Bellagio we have made two reservations requiring a minimum purchase amount for patio seating at both Prime and Yellowtail. 100% ok with this, since it was upfront, but would prefer this to a generic fee for a seat like at Eiffel Tower or Giada

Vegas needs to find more ways to eliminate fees, not create new fees. I'm pretty much over Vegas because of the skillful ways they find to nickel and dime you to death. If I want to gamble, plenty of local casinos to satisfy that itch. I think you're going to see a continued decrease in visitors due to this mentality. Good show as always fellas.

I used to visit 2 to 3 times a year. Most of the time was to visit family and dine out. Our last time we visited we were charged for parking and resort fees. I never use the resort amenities but paid for it under the resort fee conditions. We now visit Vegas every 3 years due to the gouging cost. With time I will visit every 5 years or more until I do not visit anymore. I can afford Vegas and spend money as I choose but not being fees for something I do not use.

Just got back from 3 weeks in Vegas for the holidays. Stayed at Palazzo, Cosmo, Conrad, Flamingo, Palazzo again, then Aria. People who complain about costs and fees etc would be so mad at what I spent 😅 last night they were changing out Bellagio garden to Lunar New Year - sad I won't get to see it since I don't come back until end of February. It was a long trip and I had a blast! Got to go to a Raiders game too! Def happy to be back in NYC but not happy about this cold weather 🥶

The problem with the whole seat tier is that Vegas has a habit of not mentioning things. I have no Issue with a table minimum for “premium seating”, but to sit down to eat and then get a bill with a $50 charge for sitting somewhere would get me to complain for sure and not come back. Hopefully its waived for Gold and above. All these fees and greed are going to have to level out. Not being political but our country is getting tired of being told it has to do things a certain way and to just pay and shut up. Look for tourist numbers to slump and it needs to happen. 3 guys and a slice was a great video ,don't let the haters win, but if you guys do pasta next time Mark and Shawn need to Lady and Tramp it. 😂😂😂😂

Having been a 'tech bro' who went to Vegas a few times to support sales kickoffs, the problem with the industry when they visit Vegas is they pack each day from the early morning to sometimes 9pm or 10pm at night with training or other events that just mentally drain the participants. By the time we're let go, we just want to grab a snack and get to bed. Usually there is one "fun night", but the companies usually pre-pay a restaurant or nightclub and close it down for our use only. I only knew a few of the younger employees who'd still find a way to get out and into trouble in Sin City.

I stayed at Aria a few months back. My entire visit was piss poor. The room sucked. The service sucked. My meal at the tapas bar I had to send back. Drinks sucked. Low energy. Crappy worn out room. Most of the time I prefer MGM properties to Caesar's but for the first time in quite a while I've booked a room at Harrah's. The deals I've been getting from MGM have progressively gotten worse so I've switched back to Caears's for now. As long as my room is nice enough, I don't really care. Aside from price, the location on the strip is my main priority. As far as the guitar blocking the strip views, I remember when the Luxor was rather dominating on the skyline but now it's barely visible. The views do change.

Harrah’s is perfectly fine. Rooms were done a few years ago. Some interesting smells but they don’t really bother me. Great location too. And the price is often right. I think I slightly prefer Linq but either is good.

I imagine some took the cash line for a better payout on the Saints if they had won but these are savvy gamblers so I'm sure most split the hedge bet up. Derik also lets them hedge against the entry so they didn't need to come up with hundreds of thousands in cash to place the hedge bet(s) There are also other ways to hedge, Derik lets you sell a % of your entry ANY WEEK , many of these winners sold a % of the entry.

We noticed on our week long trip to Vegas we came home with more money then ever before. With everything being more expensive, food quality on strip food we noticed was way down. We use to gamble more. As it was due to reciprocity. Free night buffet that tasted great coupons so much value you just felt you owed it for all the deals to gamble more. Now we found ourselves eating more and gambling off the stip. in search of value but even more for a higher quality meal. Yes I’ve heard the steak houses are great. Sorry we like steak houses. However we will go to them close to home as they are just as good and half the price. So it’s no surprise to us that gambling revenue is down.

I live right by With love always. I’ve walked right in no line but that’s right when they open at like 10 AM on a Tuesday. Burgers are definitely the best smash burgers I’ve ever had. You gotta add the grilled onions and jalapeños though. And they pop you a dollar for each, so expect to be paying $14 for the best Smashburger you’ve ever had. But yeah, don’t go any day during the main lunch or dinner hours unless you want to be standing outside for up to 40 minutes. I know this is selfish but it’s annoying, I’m slowly seeing all the different KZbin Vegas influencers talk about this place over the past two months or so and that’s definitely not gonna help with the lines anytime soon. I tried with love always, very good quality food and the custard cherry 🍒 dipped cone❤. I recommend going on a weekday 10-15 minutes before they open, they only take 5 minutes to get the orders out. It moves fast. You must try and the owner was very nice he came out and talked with my family

I'm honestly shocked (and relieved) that MGM and Caesars resorts haven't implemented housekeeping fees yet. I know at Elara they have a daily a la carte housekeeping fee separate from the resort fee, and I just always figured others would get ideas from them and force you to pay extra for housekeeping if you want it. Given how greedy these major players so often are, I'm shocked that wasn't mentioned in MGM's press release.

Conversely in four and most certainly five-star resorts, however............I think it would be utter avarice to pay the existing room rates and resort fees we already pay AND pay a hypothetical ancillary housekeeping fee on top of all of that. Because part of the EXACT definition of four and five-star resorts denotes that expectation of service in the base price.

MTM VEGAS JAMES HERE!, I have the scoop as to why for the removal of the moving walkways at luxor. The company that made them when originally put in has been out of business for some time. There are no more parts for them to fix them.(Kind gives me monorail vibes) And the bill to put new ones in place of the old was too much to mgm to absorb.

F1 first year will always be better than the following ones. The fees are what killed it, the track and regulations were poorly planned, but /i have been watching F1 for 30 years, I think Vegas would have been better with better planning.

Just to get Platinum status @200k tier credits is tough, so to make 1.5 million is mind boggling. 🤯 It seems Bally's doesn't have a union pension fund or junk bonds to finance their casino like in the old days. I guess CEO's and C-Suite executives didn't ask the question why someone might want to assassinate a corporate executive after what happened to the healthcare executive. Unadulterated greed on behalf of only the shareholders comes to mind (cough and say MGM!)

I've done nearly half a million TC for the past two years, and you're right. It's a lot of work tapping those buttons too! Idk how much time in addition the the money someone has to put in, but it's a LOT! 😫
