MILESWORKS Porsche 996 - Falling in love with the unloved generation

The 996 was always considered the unloved generation, which made it an affordable platform with a lot of potential. Dominic Miles saw this as an opportunity to build his dream car and reimagine the 996 - The MILESWORKS Porsche 996 (1998 Carrera 2) is far from what the original body was, but keeps an organic flow to the car and gives it the Porsche shapes we all love.

This is the best execution of a 911 aftermarket body kit that I’ve ever seen. Nothing else comes close to flowing as well as this does. It integrates with the original lines while paying homage to the air cooled wide bodied perfectly. 10/10. Stunning. I’m gonna no buy a 996.

Beautiful wide body kit. Much better than r w b. Only thing I would change is to make the radiator openings wider. This would minimize the big blank area in front of tire and be more in proportion to the wider front end.

Nice video, interesting topic. I'm glad people disliked the 996 because it meant that it was cheap for me to get into one. :D PS shame you can't hear the car. Too much dreary music. 8 minutes in before you get to hear the car but it's drowned out by the music. Don't you love the sound of cars?

Didnt have the best mic setup with me to get good sound clips. I want to go back to film it again along side the boxter he made a new bodykit for. I will make sure to get more sound of the car next time

@@perhat22 fair enough. It can be hard to record the sound of cars. I don't know why but most 911 Turbos even with straight pipes don't sound great on KZbin!

@@darrensurrey I find that most cars dont sound as good on video as they do in real life. This thing sounds amazing, the lightened flywheel makes it really rev happy and the exhaust is great. I do have to try harder next time 😅

Love the efforts, it is clean and fitted right but it is too wide. When i heard him say wider than the Gemballa kit he wanted i was like.. oh boy...... I have a 996 C2 as well and when u go too wide, the problem is the 911's short wheel base. As far as idiots talking about "fried egg headlights" .. theyre so fkn stupid, they dont realise the Porsche GT1 had those headlights first.

It really does look much wider in person than on the video but it still does not look too wide compared to the wheelbase, at least in my opinion. the car really is something special. Didn't know about the GT1 tho, thanks for the info!
