In my own observation Miley was playing the right chords with her rythm . Because that song has only two chords A and E . When she played the básic chord A she was using her three fingers in vertical position below the E . It looks like a an E chord . The part of the song that says " understand " she rised her fingers to E which is dominant chord of A . Just saying .
