HIGH lyrics.. Verse 1 Sometimes I get a little too hurt Got my mind goin' places it ain't wanna go Sometimes I get a little too low And I can't see myself through the fire and smoke And you, like a neon light Shinin' through a door that I can't keep closed And you, like a rolling stone Always buildin' cities on the hearts that you broke Chorus And in my head, I did my very best saying goodbye, goodbye And I don't miss you but I think of you and don't know why I still feel high I still feel high Verse 2 Sometimes I stay up all night 'Cause you don't ever talk to me in my dreams And I think about eventually you're holdin' me And dancin' to the record like a movie scene Chorus And in my head, I did my very best saying goodbye, goodbye And I don't miss you but I think of you and don't know why I still feel high I still feel high Bridge Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh Sometimes I get a little too hurt Got my mind goin' places it ain't wanna go Chorus And in my head, I did my very best saying goodbye, goodbye And I don't miss you but I think of you and don't know why I still feel high I still feel high Outro Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh I still feel high

Im a grown man in my mid thirties...just heard this song for the first time and burst into tears...for whatever reason, it struck a hard nerve in me...I lost my dad very recently; too young (he was only 55-alcoholism & substance abuse). We loved each other dearly, but we had a very rocky/estranged relationship. This just took me through a rollercoaster of emotions, both good and bad memories. I can't recall a song having that kind of impact on me, almost instantly. Powerful stuff. Great song, great album. Thank You. Miss you, Pops. Rest in Peace. ✌ 🙏

Because she's wild and unapologetically embraces and expresses her sexuality and herself without inhibitions. And this intimidates people. They're not used to women not putting on a mask and acting "classy" and "ladylike". She was half-naked on stage twerking, kissing women, touching men, and singing "dirty" lyrics. It was too much for them I guess. But she had worn them *years* ago. She can't be tamed! I don't know why they acted surprised. Honestly, I love her. She has rockstar personality. She doesn't give a flying f*** about how she appears, she doesn't care about maintaining a good image like all the other celebrities, she doesn't care about her reputation. She just goes out there and does whatever the f*** she wants, being herself. She's crazy and I'm here for it. She's the only artist (perhaps along with P!nk and maybe, just maybe Lady Gaga) to bring some attitude into mainstream music. She's got balls.

Thank you.

This is the best album she’s ever made! Country vibe with this one :) I miss those I lost dearly because I’m a sensitive person but this album is helping me heal. I used to be a toxic person but after I got help people tried to discourage me from seeking help because they were toxic themselves and wouldn’t admit things they said and did. Everything was my fault and even though I cried my eyes and heart out apologizing for everything they were all delusional and believed that I never admitted anything when I did. I desperately tried to mend things to no avail. It is strange when you try to seek help nobody believes it and people discourage it. People don’t actually want us getting help, they just want us silenced. Those who knew I was autistic and knew I suffered meltdowns say I’m not toxic and that it’s not my fault I misinterpret things and get easily upset but they were enablers and the ones who knew I needed help were happy for me but the toxics in my life got angry I got help and wouldn’t believe I changed. All they saw was my mistakes and when I pointed out theirs, they accused me of blaming them for my problems even though I admitted my own faults. The gaslighting from these narcissists was unbearable and made me feel like I was going insane and I questioned my sanity as a result and even my own therapist discouraged seeking help and told me it was wrong as an autistic person to talk to anyone because in her view, autistic people need to be made to be silent and never talk because we can’t handle it and she encouraged others to neglect me and reject me because she believed love and support was to enable and that love was bad behavior. My psychiatric practitioner told me cut off all negative people and seek out love and support but that didn’t work because I was too needy. So I finally joined a group called Marc & Angel which specializes helping toxic people overcome problems and what they said made a huge difference. They said don’t chase those who left, don’t even miss them and don’t give them the power to control or hurt you because other toxic people who see ex toxics getting help will get angry because they want control over you. Toxics who get help are often not believed by others or go untrusted or are judged or condemned for seeking help. We were taught show love towards those who didn’t show it to us and be kind to other toxic people because rejection of others leads to more selfish toxic behavior and to get away from other toxic people because toxic behavior is created from rejection, abuse and neglect and causes attention seeking behavior. It changed my life. Thank you Miley for this song. It’s helped me so much!!

I didn’t initially listen to this album when she first released it, I’ve been going through a really hard time and I just have lost interest in everything I love including listening to and loving music, singing, etc. But music has always helped me and been there for me so I’ve been forcing myself to do something I know I love. I listened to this full album and I just cried and cried and felt so sad but so seen. The lyrics in these songs just make you feel so understood when you really feel like you’re alone. Thank you Miley 🌼💗
