I've loved Miley's covers on her backyard sessions and stuff, so I knew she had the voice and rock edge, but this album blew me away and it was a surprise for me. I love this album and it's skip free. Some songs make so emotional.

I think this album makes her just barely cross the legend status for me. If you go back and see how many genres she can sing and blow it away is pretty insane. Give her 10 more years and shell be at that legend spot. The song Hate Me reminds me of early 2000s All American Rejects and rock bands of that time.

I loved your input! When you mentioned the tone changed after Midnight Sky then said the remaining songs were written around 2018, it made sense. I completely agree with you. If you are a fan of music, it is always wisest to keep your mind open and rediscover new sounds and artists. I have always appreciated Miley's pop music and her ever-evolving voice as an adult. Even then, I did not expect Plastic Hearts to quickly become one of, if not THE, favorite album of 2020. Great reaction, I never listened to anything from miley, I heard songs just because the popular ones were everywhere but never really listened to her, I saw the video for the "Heart Of Glass" live cover and it instantly became one of my favorite covers, and than I watched the "Zombie" cover and it is absolute brilliance, so I was very interested in this album, It is a top 2 album of the year for me with a perfect 10/10 rating, My favorite tracks are Never Be Me Plastic Hearts Night Crawling Angels Like You & Hate Me I think this album is a pure Rock album, the only song I think doesn't fit is Midnight Sky because it's more of a disco/pop-rock sounding track but is is still I great song, the Edge of Midnight on the other hand is pure rock, Angels Like You to me is a perfect Rock Ballad, I would have never thought I would say that a Miley Cyrus album is one of my all time favorite albums but "Plastic Hearts" is definitely up there for my favorite albums ever.
