There is a sad idea in society that you have to be “special” in order to be able to achieve anything worthwhile and it’s a myth - everyone’s dreams are different and they shape shift to become more realistic over time. One of my favorite parts about this interview is Miley’s reference to the theory of the two voices inside your head not not being you, and that there’s a third party in there who’s actually just an observer, the observer being the self. The two voices and you being the observer in between that Miley talks around 31:00 is a concept from Hindu/Buddhist philosophy. Basically there are several stages to enlightenment: 1) to understand you are not your body, 2) to understand you are not the voices {i.e. thoughts} in your head Miley talks about, 3) to understand you are not the feeling that you feel in your heart, 4) you do meditation/breathing/mantras long enough to stop your thoughts/feelings, 5) after a while of doing 4) you attain enlightenment :)

This girl is so relatable. I was never a hannah montana girl growing up. Im in my mid 30s now and I have become such a fan of this woman over the last few years. I love that she has now found her REAL sound. This girl is highly intelligent and not in a way where she is trying to impress anyone, she just shares her true thoughts and beliefs. One of the most real celebs out there!

Miley is one of the few people who I will sit down and give my full attention to. Her mind is so fascinating and her process is so interesting and I love it. Getting to grow up from a young child to now being a 23 year old and seeing her growth as a woman and an artist has been one of the best experiences.

The way this interview hit me is different. ❤️ “Every day I say goodbye to myself and I'm not the same on the next day. Everything changes me forever everyday.” The level of emotional intelligence Miley has... it's breathtaking. And I totally agree with what she said about love and how all humans look for a partner and doesn't pay attention for the love we have all around us in our life. Also the sense of what the family built x what you want for you. Thank you so much for this interview, Miley ❤️

Last year when Miley came to Kosovo to sing on Dua’s festival, 18 yo me had to lie to my parents and escape from the country, just to see them live for the first time! There was a war between 🇽🇰Kosovo and 🇷🇸Serbia 20 years ago and people are still frightened. Surprisingly, I was nicely welcomed by Albanians, made memorble friendships and had the best time EVER, because, as Miley said, music connects people! 💕

I literally grew up with this girl. Since Hannah Montana. I’m so glad that she has found her genre. Her voice fits so well with it to the point where her songs, like prisoner, basically her recent album is like really catchy to me and lots of people. It’s amazing. I’m so proud 💓

I will never be who I was yesterday, in a way that every night before I go to sleep I say goodbye to myself-because that person is done. There's a sadness to it sometimes bc I do evolve very quickly bc I'm very absorbant, and recently I've had to do an inventory of what I've owned as mine that isn't mine. Bc I think whether its ur parents, generational, the way ur raised we're all just an equation of all those things adding up."

I'm not Miley's fan, I just like to listen to her songs from time to time, but, everyone needs to have this kinds of person in their life. Supportive, talkative, open-minded, actually NOT SPOILED, full of ideas. Makes you want to be a better person tomorrow, especially in this era of technology and social media. Man, I just want to listen to her talking about these things because it makes me feel motivated to be and do better. Great job Miley! Keep it up and be a true icon to the young ones so they can learn what actually matters in life and about themselves through your experience.

She's so articulate and I love how she kept drawing parallels and bringing the conversation full circle which makes this seem more like a conversation and less like an interview! I also love Zane for giving her this platform to just talk without him interrupting her and sort of letting her take the lead while asking her natural follow-up questions instead of having it like a disjointed Q & A, unlike what most interviewers tend to do to artists
